So Altman is making the picks? What's our gm do? Glorified scout

Everyone in the font office discusses things. Koby still makes the final decision. Did you think because he got his title changed he stopped making the calls?

The rebuild died the day we traded for Levert.

Koby blew it. I think they will be a play in team again next year
LeVert was their first round pick THIS year. There was little expectation of being in the lottery, but the injuries landed them the pick.

The first rounder should help. If he turns out to be a true 3 and D guy from the 14th pick, that’s a win. The rest? Hell it’s the 2nd round and he followed his plan.

Levert stinks. And the bill is still due. Pacers have our pick next years

4 picks, 0 small forwards.

Just ridiculous

The Aussie plays some SF. He's 6-7 or 6-8 with a 6-10+ wingspan. But 2nd round picks don't really matter. I really wonder if they have something else planned for FA or if the plan is just Lauri/LeVert at SF.

A finished product…

He’s a guy who wasn’t even a first rounder last year. No court vision. Can’t create his own shot.

Great pick Koby. Was Jiri Welsh Jr not available?

Sorry, but that makes no sense. The Cavs got their first round pick back and the only thing that trade potentially cost us was Andrew Nembhard, who Koby likely wouldn’t have picked at #32 anyways.

If we make the playoffs next year then we owe Indiana our first round pick. I didn’t like that trade at the time and, now that we’ve picked Agbaji and have a glut at SG, I like it even less.

The outlook for this team is no different today than it was two days ago. Darius, Mobley, Allen, probably Sexton, LeVert, maybe Rubio, Lauri, Love etc and they’re rolling forward. Plug in a 3 and D guy who has no pressure and can help now.
Significant internal growth and maybe another move to come. Very bright future.

Garland
Haliburton
Eason
Mobley
Allen

I’m really trying to figure out when Koby plans on getting a competent wing player who can do multiple things. The team won’t be competing for a ring this coming season but the following season is go time.

Eason was never going to be a Cavalier and Haliburton told the Cavaliers and multiple other teams not to pick him. Haliburton forced his way to Sacramento. Then Sacramento forced him out.

If teams listen to players like that, they are fucking idiots. SGA did not want to come to Cleveland and then he ended up in Oklahoma City and he’s doing just fine.

Eason was never going to be a cavalier because they didn’t want him. Not like he was pre-ordained to not go to Cleveland lol. The same brilliant methodology is what got them Okoro. The guy they just replaced.

Eason wasn't going to be a Cavalier because he tanked the interviewed and bombed the workout. That's why he wasn't going to be a Cavalier. He apparently had a few bad interviews.

As for SGA and Haliburton. They both forced their way to the destination they wanted and got traded the next year. But they got what they originally wanted. And you can say just draft players who don't want to be here. But chemistry matters and if you draft a guy and they pout until they get traded you wasted a pick. I'm not defending the team for picking Ochai this year or Okoro in 2020. But other factors come into play when drafting that fans and even media don't know.
