They also had Gary Sanchez for a while and he could whack some balls hard (but not as consistently hard as those two).

It's interesting that big Franmil hasn't been able to hit the 115 MPH mark with Cleveland (he did reach 114.9 in 2021).

He hit 115 both his first year and second year (partial season) with San Diego.
 
Posted a PD link with our asst GM comments on our minor league players in minor league section. But surprised no one has commented on this quote ... note the word ultimately .... sounds like it may not be an all in/sell farm year as making playoffs great but window to win playoff games and make a WS run isn't now but ultimately when our next wave (espino/Williams/Naylor/Jones/Valera/Freeman ... starts filling in more.

“We want to win today, but ultimately we want to win in the playoffs and be a winning team, and we’re hoping that these guys can help us do it,” Harris said.

I have 2 honest questions. Are you talking about bat speed or exit velo?

Are you suggesting that such a minimal increase is indicative of something? Or are you just marveling at the number?

I feel like they will look for the Reynolds, but only below a certain price. I think they will add some type of talent, but I don't expect the major buy until next offseason/next trade deadline.

It may depend on the number of guys they need to add to the 40 man roster in the offseason compared to the projected spots available. If they need to expose real quality in the rule 5 draft, then it makes sense to package guys now for a targeted upgrade. What does this offseason look like on the protected list?

Abandoning his job midseason? Nah, employers love it when you pull a Kiffin. If anything it makes him that much more mysterious and in demand; he's like a bad boy now, the kind all the pretty girls think they can tame.

Well, you did say it was interesting he hasn't put a tenth of a mph on his exit velo since coming to Cleveland.

I might attribute it to sea level if anything. Hardly interesting from my perspective.

Well it's interesting that Franmil doesn't have the peaks close to some of these other big guys. That's all. Not where it is relative to some arbitrary threshold. That is only interesting in the sense of some pattern of lotto numbers coming up.
