Browns Training Camp 2022

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Whats the dude that was on Hard Knocks, wore OBJs shoes and scored a touchdown doing these days?

Never want to see anyone get hurt, but i am not seeing the catastrophe with Grant going down?

Felton was a late round rookie on a team with two elite running backs and a damn good 3rd back. I also get the sense they are developing him as a hybrid running back/slot and will take time. I find it interesting a lot of folks are tossing him aside and anointing Ford as a replacement.

I have not paid extra close attention to camp clips, but @red. has done a great job handling it for me. Inside of this, seems like a lot of clips with Felton on the field in the slot, so he is getting meaningful camp reps. Lastly, has anyone heard, read or seen clips of Ford? I have not, so the idea he is leaping frogging Felton, and other backs seems a bit preamture — considering this is his first NFL training camp and has yet to even play a preseason down.
I heard a reporter say all the RB were doing fine. I believe Aditi said Ford has been catching the ball really well. That’s really it. There hasn’t been many videos like previous camps.

I never understood why we need a 3rd down back. Chubb can catch. It’s not like he has stone hands. He’s a top 3 rb he should and can play every down.

RB is one of the most brutal, punishing positions in the NFL, and you want him to play every down?

He wouldn't even make it to game 8 ...

I wouldn't say it's a catastrophe but the Browns have been one of the worst punt return teams in the NFL the past 2 seasons. Jakeem Grant was an All-Pro the last 2 seasons and is one of the better return men in the NFL.

Plenty of rbs do it. Most elite rbs do. And most 3rd down plays are passing plays anyway. So he’s not guaranteed to get hit. But if we really need a first down on 3rd I’d rather have one of the best rbs in the league out there.

Najee Harris and Derrick Henry had the highest % of snaps of their team's snaps

Harris at 57%

Henry at 51%

Plenty of RBs do...and Chubb can...but why should he if they dont have to? Hunt is an elite RB, as well. Considering every play is like Russian Roulette on the body, minimizing hits when you can prolongs careers, maximizes player safety and keeps legs fresh. Its not like they have Chubb and Felton and thats it.

I watched this entire episode yesterday.

I've seen another interview with them recently as well - you can tell they definitely respect Ward & the Browns defense. They will certainly have those games circled this season based on what we've done to them in recent years.

These stats just go to show how GOAT Josh Cribbs was as a return man. Like he's gotta be in the conversation for one of the best return man of all time, right?

Cribbs is probably top 5 all time, Metcalf was pretty special too. My number one might be Gale Sayers, but others that come to mind are Brian Mitchell, Devin Hester, Desmond Howard, Mel Gray (yeah Purdue, lol), Deion Sanders and Dante Hall.

This is not an order, Cribbs is in that conversation though for sure, top 5? top 3?

I know he has been injured, but anyway to see where Chubb is at last season?
