Holy shit that play by Gimenez!
He didn't have his best stuff - 3 K's through 6 IP and finishing an inning with 89 pitches should be a time to automatically pull him out of the game. But Old School Tito kept him in and got what he deserved. He had 89 pitches and was excellent besides one mistake pitch..

Edit: Maybe if anti-vaxxer Karinchak actually did the right thing for the team he would've been more comfortable pulling him. But we never know...
My favorite thing about Myles Straw is how he can go 0-3 and not even reduce his batting average. I also like how you argue that, at best, he's our 7th best position player and that he is borderline starter level, and "isn't terrible," but clutch your pearls while defending him against the least little bit of accurate criticism."Myles .209 Straw" has been the 7th biggest position player contributor so far in this season. Which, admittedly, is borderline starter level, but not worth all the hate he gets thrown his way. And his xAVG is .235 which isn't terrible for someone who plays his kind of defense.
If only your criticism was accurate there wouldn't be any need to defend him. Keep clutching to your offensive stats when clearly the point is that his defense can make up for a lot of what he does on offense. I'm using objective measures of value. You keep at it whining but guys like Benson can easily be worse. So far he's struck out almost half the time.My favorite thing about Myles Straw is how he can go 0-3 and not even reduce his batting average.
