2022 Season | Series #36 | Guardians @ Jays | Aug. 12-14, 2022

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Yeah. Let’s designate the 0-4’s. Dicky is at 3rd tomorrow hitting out of three hole.

Gotta love the defense today though, NoJo, Andres, and Maile gunning the runner.
I especially loved the QUINTONIUM glove defense by Straw watching those 2 home runs sail over his head into the stands Have you heard of Fangraphs? No one could watch those balls sail better.

He didn't have his best stuff - 3 K's through 6 IP and finishing an inning with 89 pitches should be a time to automatically pull him out of the game. But Old School Tito kept him in and got what he deserved.

Edit: Maybe if anti-vaxxer Karinchak actually did the right thing for the team he would've been more comfortable pulling him. But we never know...
Nice! Real nice. You are a POS.

Hard fought game, at least the portion that I could watch. Triston with another very good outing. Defense was very good. Offense obviously struggled to string anything together. It happens.

@DCTribefan @KluberSociety @MirORich

This loss is on you. 0-4. I really don't even know how anyone supports this nonsense unless they are members of the Straw family.

You support yourselves more than you support this team. PERIOD
Lol

Your rabbit ears are ten miles long.

You and I have never once previously discussed Straw. I have barely mentioned him in conversation to anyone the past few months.

But because you are so emotionally invested in ongoing arguments you’ve been having with other posters, you blindly took my posts as defending Straw. Again, you’re reading comprehension skills are not tuned up today.

I have no investment or care in the world about your longstanding arguments about Straw with other posters so keep me out of that fun little world.

Laughable also is the concept that the loss “is on” any message board poster as if our thought and takes in here have even a 0.0000000000001 percent affect on what the organization, manager, and players do on the field. It’s hard to even take your post seriously when you roll out something like that.

Yeah I guess I'm the POS and not the guy who refuses to greatly reduce the risk of spreading around the disease which can seriously threaten people like Tito, not to mention the big FU to the fans who want to see him pitch this weekend. But yeah I guess this basic decency will be categorized as "politics" by some.

You have no clue what you're talking about and I'm not going to get into it with you here so go fuck yourself. It's called freedom and if you can't respect it even when you don't like the choice then you are a POS. Respond all you want to this, but I'm done.

Yeah he has freedom to be a POS and I also have the free speech to criticize him for being a POS and you have the freedom to call me a POS for exercising my free speech even though your priorities are out of whack. I have been nothing but respectful of freedom and hopefully you're the same.

I think putting Straw in for Benson was a bad idea given how badly Straw is swinging the bat lately (3-for-36 this month). And today we got the three true Straw outcomes; strike out, ground out to 2nd, and two fly balls to right field.

That Blue Jay batting order is very good and Tristan did a great job in holding them to two runs. Unfortunately, their pitching was even better. White was better than I expected. We needed to get more than one run off him in the first before he found his rhythm, but their centerfielder made a nice diving catch on Rosario's blooper and then Jose chased a first pitch breaking ball and got himself out.

Jose also chased two pitches way out of the zone on 3-2 counts in the 8th and got himself out again. Too bad because Naylor doubled and we would have had runners on 2nd and 3rd with one out if Jose had taken the walk.

Gimenez had another awesome game - 2 hits, 2 walks, a stolen base, and another runner thrown out at the plate on a perfect throw from short right field. He should definitely be in the running for a GG.

I saw another thing today I've never seen before; Maile running from first on a 3-2 pitch getting thrown out at second on a ground ball to the first baseman. I can't recall ever seeing a first baseman try to throw out a runner at second who was running on the pitch, much less a right-handed first baseman. Maile slowed up going into second thinking the play was at first and was barely out.

I think Guerrero made a mistake and if Maile had run hard and slid both runners would have been safe with nobody out.

McKenzie tried to sneak an 0-2 fastball past Hernandez and he hit it out. Pretty questionable to throw him three fastballs in a row.

Chapman has hit 17 of his 23 home runs at home and is second only to Judge with 8 homers since the break. No shame in him going deep, but Tristan should have kept the ball down.

Really impressed with Toronto's bullpen. So far they've thrown 9.1 innings with no runs allowed.

Guardians 1-for-10 with RISP. That hurts in a one-run loss.

Let's win the series behind Beebs tomorrow.
