You ask so I answer. Reno or RenoDeluxe as he also went by (and that moniker is banned over here) was no insider. I suspect you are confusing him with Jup.

Take the worst qualities of the DickyLeftridge posts, multiple that by 5 and then have all that trash coming from more than 5 accounts each day.
The ignore feature was limited to 5 accounts so even using that still meant board members would see the drivel.
On top of that he would have ghost conversations with himself across those account.
In all he was putting up on average 40 posts a day from his own or his ghost accounts. If you had the account on ignore the posting line would still appear but post itself was hidden. Reading a page of chat was suddenly like reading with window blinds partially closed. A page with 30 posts would have maybe 6 or 7 posts not "hidden" so it was very difficult to read & follow along.

One of the current board members here suffered multiple personal attacks from these accounts.
Worse the board moderators all vanished or had their mod capabilities taken away. What had been a good board for insight and conversation was soon a shitshow of epic proportions. Once 24/7 Sports indicated they were closing things down in a few months, the search was on for a new place.

A guy I knew (@Booyas, mainly in the Browns section) mentioned this place and I got onto the baseball pages. Then it was myself and @Obscured By Clouds trying to contact legit posters over then & get them headed this way.

I think in all it has been a great union of chat and insight, but even great situations have some bumps in the road. Hopefully that is all it is with Dicky (a bump in the road), but it is on him moving forward.
 
I came from the MLB.com forums, which also were shut down. There was a very large troll problem there as well where the same people would just keep coming back and getting banned. I really don't see the huge problem with Dicky posts compared to the most toxic ones, outside of the repetitiveness of them. At least it's a different perspective, sometimes... Some have made me laugh.

Actually, we appreciate the pings or PM's rather than starting a flame war. Thanks to everyone who tried to talk him down nicely, and then for letting us know when that didn't work

That's the way things should work.

In reality bub, you allowed if not encouraged personal attacks against me. I dealt with them every other page, again because I had the audacity to notice when a player is performing historically poorly. Been called Reno since I got here. Go use your maude powers to see if I'm Reno bub. Did I ever whine to you to ban any of these people attacking me? Check your inbox if you're unsure bub. Of course I didn't. I'm grown. I don't make personal attacks against people on this website. And I can deal with it when personal attacks are made against me. Two qualities your forum apparently does not appreciate.

Disagreements are not part and parcel to your forum. It's clear you don't allow them. That's just another lie from you. Do you lie every other time you post or was your post banning me just disproportionately filled with lies? At this point, I only wonder how many other people you bullied into silence who didn't stick up for themselves like I have. Here is reality: you selectively enforce whatever rules you think your website has, and you post cat pics. These are simply facts bub. Because that's normalized on here. And that's fine, but we're not going to lie about it. Go ahead and permaban me but you will not lie about me and the record will be clear that your website is intolerant against people who happen to notice when a player is performing at an historically poor level.

Sincerely your issue is this, you don't let things go or say, I agree to disagree and change topics. We have a rant thread where you can just vent... keep the heavy venting the same thing over and over again out of the main threads. We know you didn't like Straw and there are plenty here who haven't been fond of him either, but they aren't repeating it a million times. All you needed to say is I don't like Straw and if you want to vent/rant why, find the rant or hot takes thread and let the steam out there. They aren't being selective, they are trying to make this place enjoyable for everyone and your actions are the opposite since your posts end up being toxic to the forums. They don't want the toxic posts in here like yours have been.

We really don't care if you call everyone a GOAT, it's the nagging and nagging about one single topic that is the issue. Doing it over and over over over over over over in a main thread, is bad and toxic for the forum. There is a time and place for things and using the main threads for a rant isn't it. I have been as nice as possible to you, but I can only take so much. You don't take any fault on yourself, it's all everyone else's fault.

Our maude assured me when they band me last time it was only due to a violation of the rules (personal attacks which have been proven to be lies, by the way) and not due to the whimsical feelings associated with their selective enforcement. Has something changed?
