2022 Game #8 | #2 Ohio State @ #13 Penn State | October 29th, 2022 @ 12:00 PM EST

But he's also a Cowboys fan and Yankees fan. Funny how Ohio State was the only Ohio team he choose to root for. And only Ohio State football too, not Ohio State basketball. Front runner

Kids don’t like rooting for losing teams. It’s that simple. You guys make it sounds like Lebron is the only kid who does this. Guess what, I rooted for the Bulls when I was younger (Cavs too). I had a Jordan poster and shirt. I also had a Dallas Cowboys shirt in like 1994 when I was in middle school. Only ever liked the Tribe for baseball though. But, of course, they were really good.

Bron, like many of us, was a front runner as a kid, but now he likes his hometown teams. Hating on Lebron for this is the just jealously and also very privileged. He’s a pretty amazing person considering his mother was a crack whore and he lived in a car for a part of his childhood. Shocked that a kid like that might choose to root for a winning team in some desperate attempt to find role models. He didn’t have a father to pass down fandom to him. He didn’t have that privilege. I’ll bet he wishes he did.

He played with us for 11 years and won a championship. He is an incredible story. People act like Steph’s dad wasnt present and Lebrons was the NBA player. Bron is amazing. Let him be.

Been reading some articles - the national narrative is that he "struggled" and "was not himself" today. You can tell these people didn't actually pay any attention to the game whatsoever because it couldn't be further from the truth.

In reality, the only person that stopped him today was his own head coach.

What a strange game and narrative surrounding it.
So frustrating.

Ok, just out of curiosity, what player have you ever seen have a better day at any collge or pros? lol
Derrick Thomas is the only guy I could think of

Well I will say from what I've seen from the local guys Day is roundly getting criticized for that game.

You sound like a band wagoner.

He very possibly cost Stroud the Heisman because of his stupidity in the first 3 quarters of that game.

I hope Day potentially screwing Stroud out of the Heisman doesn't hurt recruiting.

Whenever Day's next presser is (should be in next couple days), he should come right out dismissing the narrative that Stroud "struggled" and put the "blame" on himself.

This Heisman is shaping up to be incredibly political. ESPN will be launching a full-blown Hooker campaign (lol) if UT beats UGA.

Day should strike first in his presser this week. Seems like an easy PR win for him & OSU all around, since he actually was awful in that game. Own your failure, highlight the fact that Stroud was excellent (shout out his numbers, which honestly were pretty unprecedented) and set the narrative straight.

Overall, I'm not convinced this is too huge of a deal, though, especially with regards to recruiting. But I see no downside to Day doing this.

Hooker against Georgia. Stroud against Michigan. Those will be the key games in this Heisman race. If the champs put down Tennessee this Saturday, the door is wide open.
