Is there any actual insight on his recovery arc? Must have been one helluva sprain..
I try to defend the players who get criticized all the time here (e.g., Okoro, Windler). But Jesus Christ, how the hell does an ankle sprain keep you out for THREE WEEKS?!?!?Is there any actual insight on his recovery arc? Must have been one helluva sprain..

High ankle sprains are a bitch. I’ve seen players take a few months to come back from those.Crazy he is still hurt. Isn't 4 weeks the extended time period for a high ankle sprain?
This makes that response when they asked JB if Dylan would play in the final preseason game make sense. He laughed and was like "no"
Must be pretty bad.
I like his game. Such a weird thing he is so injured. He said he had never had an injury that kept him out of games before the NBA

I was going to mention that, but everyone has there joke on him, I actually feel bad for the man, just having bad luck…..The kid was really excited about his progress, then this happened……I still think there something to salvage from him, just got to stay healthy, which so far has been impossible to do……High ankle sprains are a bitch. I did not know it was highankle.high ankle..High ankle sprains are a bitch. I’ve seen players take a few months to come back from those.
I actually think he has enough talent to play for someone (if healthy), but it won't happen in Cleveland. Windler needs to be included in a trade for his own sake. Wade and Levert have pretty much locked up the 3 spot. I don't see him playing in front of Okoro or Rubio (when he's back), so there aren't minutes at the 2. He might get "lucky" and get some time if we have a rash of injuries, but otherwise its going to be hard to get the one thing he needs most, which is playing time. Seriously, the best thing that could happen for his career is to get traded to someone like the Lakers who are desperate for a shooter.I was going to mention that, but everyone has there joke on him, I actually feel bad for the man, just having bad luck…..The kid was really excited about his progress, then this happened……I still think there something to salvage from him, just got to stay healthy, which so far has been impossible to do……
I’m not at all convinced his talent is good enough to be a rotation player in the NBA. It’s hard to know because he’s lost so much time to injury but he’s physically unimposing, his shot is not a quick release, he’s never shown much ability with the ball in his hands and he gets overpowered by stronger wings (and most of them are stronger that he is).I actually think he has enough talent to play for someone (if healthy), but it won't happen in Cleveland. No source has ever said it was a high ankle sprain, one person here mentioned a high ankle sprain and it took off from there as him having one. In the news media there are zero mentions of Windler having a high ankle sprain. When the injury happened on 10/5 Cleveland.com mentions the ankle sprain and called it "minor". That certainly does not sound like a description of a high ankle sprain. People must be forgetting Windler's overall fitness, rumor has it he coughed once while in high school and broke a rib. I would expect a normal ankle sprain to sideline him until around New Years. My December prediction for his first 3 pointer may have been too optimistic.I did not know it was highankle.high ankle..
I had once, took a month to heal and another to get back in shape
So my question remains, is there any actual news beyond the windler fragility jokes. No one seems to actually know.No source has ever said it was a high ankle sprain, one person here mentioned a high ankle sprain and it took off from there as him having one.
