Cleveland Browns 2022 Regular Season

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Oh Daryl. Why the long face buddy?
Just taking the low-hanging fruit without providing any context - that's what Cleveland media does best.

The front office by and large inherited the roster and only after 4 years were they finally able to activate their long-term solution at the most important position.

Blaming analytics for 13-16 is so damn lazy. If anything, it's probably the reason we're not 8-21 in that span. Analytics didn't make Baker the league leader in INTs nor prevent special teams from falling on an onside kick vs NY. Bad QB play, poor execution, and inept coordinators are why we're here.

Are analytics used in any way to make hiring/firing decisions for defensive and special teams coordinators? Honest question.

All except Dolphins/Chargers. Miami is already 8-4 and the odds of them finishing 1-4 for the Browns to finish ahead of them (they have the tiebreaker) are pretty low.

Want the Chargers to lose that one.

I messed that up. I meant to have MIA beating LAC.

No clue but a fair question. I know they played a heavy hand in the HC search. If they're used for coordinators, we might need to tweak some algorithms...

Browns win out or lose lets say one more game and the defense looks great... Joe Woods will be back, right?

In the Metaverse, to be sure. :chuckle:

It's a sad state of affairs when losing out to assure Woods is fired is as tempting as winning out for a shot at the playoffs.

I think if the Browns win out, which would put them at 10-7 and riding a 7-game winning streak that would almost certainly put them into the playoffs, that Woods and Priefer would both return in 2023.
