Cleveland Browns 2022 Regular Season

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If I'm being honest I think this is the week...

I don't think Lamar is going to be ready next week and I think we're likely the favorite the rest of the way. This is a massive, massive week.

I think we get absolutely shellacked this week and we can all stop holding out playoff hope and just watch our team with an eye towards next year.

I don't disagree but if there is one silver lining it's that we own the Bengals of late..

Can Kevin pull a rabbit out of the hat?

I think we're coming out of this saying "Well, we all knew that Watson would have a lot of rust on him after not playing for two years"
Yes, however IF we beat the Bengals, the road to that last WC spot is crystal clear.

Beat Lamar-less BAL at home and you have a couple of weaker teams to close out the season with.

Are analytics used in any way to make hiring/firing decisions for defensive and special teams coordinators? Honest question.

Analytics is nothing more than using data as information to make decisions. People talk about it like its some Boogeyman with taped glasses and a pocket protector exacting its revenge on athletes that bullied them. Humans, by nature, are analytical. Touch a hot stove, burn yourself, don't touch it anymore. See another stove, get a potholder or check to make sure its turned off before touching it again. Thats analytics. It provides context to a situation, instead of just saying "he sucks," it tells you why and helps figure out how not to suck again.

Yes, analytics helps hire and fire folks. If Joe Woods can't get execution out of his players, thats data used to figure out if he should have a job next year. Analytics also helps realize that firing a coordinator midseason, when playoffs are still possible, rarely has a positive impact on that unit, so whether a coordinator has a job next year or not, it's not wise to fire someone mid-season.

Analytics are why you rarely see this regime react rashly, or pivot suddenly. This regime, whether folks like it or not, has thought through their plan and will see it through, taking time to analyze new data at specific points in the process. Its how they operate, and folks getting upset that they aren't reacting more suddenly are only setting themselves up for unwarranted stress and anxiety...though, this is a Browns fan board, so it goes with the territory, I suppose.

As well as the browns matchup against the Bengals I think they lose tomorrow. Hope not.
