Ex Indians update

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I really WANT to buy a Ferrari, but I'm unwilling to pay the price...which really means that I dont want to buy a Ferrari. The same applies to our FO.

They can say the want to acquire a significant upgrade. We can say that they want to. But their actions say otherwise.
How about some nuance?

If someone bids on the Ferrari at auction and doesn't win, you don't get to run around screaming every day about how they refuse to try and buy a Ferrari.

You could really benefit from a healthy dose of nuance in your posts.

Enzo Ferrari quotes are wonderful, so let me digress:

“Aerodynamics are for people who can’t build engines.”
“I don’t sell cars; I sell engines. The cars I throw in for free since something has to hold the engines in.”
"Equally valuable lessons are learned in defeat and victory."
"Bad luck does not exist."
“Ask a child to draw a car, and certainly he will draw it red.”
“I don’t care if the door gaps are straight. When the driver steps on the gas, I want him to shit his pants.”
"What's behind you doesn't matter."

If a guy wants a Ferrari and offer fair value of $400,000 but someone else offers 500,000 pesos and the owner foolishly accepts, don't blame the guy who offered the most value rather than the shinny trinkets. And don't blame him either if he refuses to counter to $600,000 just because the owner doesn't know the difference between dollars and pesos. And, if on conversion the person finally realizes 500,000 pesos is really only worth $28,000, it isn't that the pesos (prospect value) just crashed overnight. It is because the Ferrrari owner didn't know how to value the pesos (prospect) in the first place.

Seems like an argument between trading prospects for ML player or trading ML players for prospects. I think both should happen and the team should be improved after doing so.......theoretically.

Yeah, but "I like it when my team makes trades that make us better" isn't exactly a controversial statement.

It can go alongside such gems as:
"I like it when we trade away prospects that don't pan out"

Of course, I'll always take those milquetoast takes over the rancid ones like "I get irrationally angry if someone performs after being in our organization, like Jesus Aguilar's one good season!"

And, "Every time they trade a player whose name I know, I get mad... until a year or two later when I pretend like I liked the trade the whole way. Corey Kluber for Clase and DeShields? Brilliant! Lindor for Amed and Gimenez? What a stroke of brilliance! Never mind how I threw a temper tantrum, called the owners cheap, and posted countless rants online about how this is why nobody ever goes to games"

As long as you don't have to say when you'll be improved.. then it's okay..

Good points and I'll be the first to tell you that I was disappointed in how little we ended up getting for Kluber and Lindor because I thought both were traded a year too late. I didn't like the Aguilar deal because he was never given an opportunity and we didn't get shit from our 1B at that time. I would have taken those 2 yrs of good production Aguilar gave after being dealt. Don't look now because that big bastard is doing it again this season. Ironically I feel it is currently a similar situation. We're holding onto Bieber too long and giving way too many opportunities to an average at best player that won't be with us after this year. I know that I'm not patient, but the fucking writing looks to be all over the wall to me. I'll also be the first to tell you that these are just my takes and aren't worth a steamy pile in the scheme of things.

I'm saying immediately and no later than next season, but I've been saying that for quite some time. In fact, most around here are probably tired of seeing me say that. lol

I just don't get this. He just tanked and fell to the bottom like a boulder.

Bauer wins first outing (1 run over 7 innings with 9 ks)

Japan is AAAA in all honesty... Bauer better be the Cy Young winner there. He has too much talent and ability not to be...

“Now Bauer’s making enemies in Japan,” Hamilton said. “Bauer wants to celebrate a strikeout by pretending he’s shoving a sword into a sheath. And his Japanese teammate said on Twitter, ‘that’s disrespectful.”

“Absolutely shocking that Trevor Bauer would go to another country and make enemies with teammates. Nobody could have seen that coming,” Hamilton said sarcastically. “What an idiot.”

LOL
