I do think people are overestimating how many passes there are going to be to go around next season.
Watson’s career high in pass attempts is 544. It seems highly unlikely with an effective RB like Chubb still here that the Browns would top more than about 600 passes on the high end.
Subtract spikes and throwaways and it’s down to about 560.
Subtract RB targets which will always be there because of screens and dump offs and check downs, now you’re at about 485.
Cooper last year as WR1 got 132 targets. I wouldn't expect that number to go down all that much. So now you’re left with only roughly 350 targets between DPJ, Moore, Njoku and the rest of the WRs and TEs combined.
If you add Hopkins into that mix there’s absolutely a massive crunch.
