2023 Week 2: Browns @ The Scum-Sucking Steelers.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Am I literally the only person that saw that no one was getting open? And that they applied heavy pressure? Idk what Watson is supposed to do there, its a pretty bad combination.

Yes fuck him for the facemasks and everything else, but he didn't have a whole lot to throw to

Honestly man, I read this shit for Baker for 2 straight years

Read it about Watson for 8 games now

Even if it’s true I don’t care. Then we have deeper rooted issues with talent evaluation. But like at some point we need to hold the QB accountable for anything

He can't fabricate open wr or make his line block. Most of his incompletions were to the most open guy, who was not open. Lots of drops

I don't see how you can definitively make this statement without looking at the All-22 view of the game.

The television broadcast IMO is impossible to say which routes are open/aren't open at the top of the QBs drop.

This. Or if you are at the game.

Watson has essentially been ass, but the Kevin Stefanski offense continues to underwhelm. Once you got the lead in the 3rd, it was pretty evident that you just needed to avoid shooting off your own foot. Safe throws. Quick hitters. Nothing stupid.

It reminds me a lot of the Baker years. Too much stuff is happening down field when we don't have the protection, QB awareness and/or the playmakers to make those work consistently. There is nothing wrong with dump offs out of the back field or quick routes to grab you 5 yards. I don't think Stefanski is dumb by any means, but I'm worried that he may be too stubborn to ever make things work.

If Deshaun Watson turns out to actually suck, it will be a franchise killer. It will mean we have given him one of the worst contracts in the history of the NFL. The Browns owe him almost a quarter of a billion dollars in fully guaranteed money. Say goodbye to any hope of competing for years to come.

if this season is a bust we at least do need to dump stefanski and get someone who can run a Watson offense better. Not saying this would be my first choice as HC but how could you not consider O’Brien. We’re basically stuck with Watson so will need to try everything to make it work.

Defensive evaluation is bordering on an A+ for me.

Offensive evaluation looks like an F. York, Schwartz, Wills, Bryant, Hudson, Felton, Bell.

Our first pick this year was Tillman, who apparently isn’t even good enough to play?

Imagine if DPJ hadn’t randomly developed in to a serviceable #3.

What GM has made 12 offensive selections in 4 drafts and has this little to show for it?

We are basically a Jerry Jones not losing his mind away from being an F- on offense during Berry’s tenure here.
Bell wasn't bad tonight, frankly. Caught some very needed passes. He's just not a gamebreaker.

Basically it was Cooper, and the occasional Bell tonight.
