2023-24 Season | Game #2 | Thunder @ Cavs | Oct. 27, 2023

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
There's also this weird influx of players who clam up in crunch time.

Mobley can't do anything with the ball in crunch time. Garland becomes a TO machine. Mitchell kinda does to.

I don't like any of our players with the ball in their hands late lol.
This take here I actually agree with...

One of the threes was a transition take by Chet, which he nailed.

That was a clutch shot that if he missed, we're probably seeing a different outcome.

Mobley was sagging a bit in transition but wasn't totally out of position. Contested from too far out and that swung things big time.

Even still, the rest of the stuff down the stretch gave me Sacramento flashbacks. :(

Tomorrow may be a punt game. A lot of energy was expended to win this one. Damn Pacers...

Would love to see a bounce back, but if DG and JA don't go and the rooks and their fresh legs and eager to prove themselves mentality don't get a shot... It's gonna be tough. Winnable, but tough.

The Mobley hate is gonna start taking root on the board the more he doesn't blossom into a star player right away. Seeing him get outplayed by a younger lanky C? Just gonna add fuel.

This is what the Mitchell trade has brought. Immediate expectations.

Kinda feel for the kid.

Feels like you've posted this before.

Having a 10 point lead in a game and giving it up is different than having a 10 point lead and giving it up with two minutes left in a game...
I am pretty sure I have not but I am sure there are plenty of other games where playoff teams have blown a lead like the Cabs did tonight in a NBA Season lol they play 82 games a season...

It definitely happens. But I recall about 7 games where we gave up a 10 point lead in the last 2 minutes. That's not normal. And it's worse because it means the team can't handle pressure when intensity goes up and foul calls go down (aka playoff atmosphere).

He needs Allen back. Somehow Evan looks smaller this year… playing smaller for sure “out of position”.

People need to find contentment with him just being a defensive menace and 15/10 guy. He’s shown little change in two seasons now… and there’s just not enough shots for him to get over an offensive hump in season.

With Garland and Mitchell on the team, he's going to find it hard to get enough offensive touches, too. Just the reality of the situation.

You'd think Garland out, it'd be his chance to shine, but they don't have another point guard. Mitchell can make plays, but setting up the offense is not what does.

I'm not saying I'm satisfied with it either. It's frustrating, because we can't take that next leap if he doesn't do it.

I still hold out a glimmer of hope it can happen eventually. But I don't know if it will.
