Welcome Luke Travers

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I wonder could he be as effective as Dean Wade, I know Dean can Guard 2,3 and 4, and hit an occasional 3, but after that he gives you zero on Offense,….I would think Travers could give you way more on Offense, I’m just not sure about his Defense, I know he rebounds good.

I thought in Summer League Travers showed he's a defensive menace, could dribble alittle, pass some, finish.....I thought the biggest question mark around him was 3-point shooting.

I like the way Travers plays. He's not nearly as quick or big as Wade and the defensive drop off would be large. That he's not a real threat from 3 would hurt our spacing (whether deserved or not, teams play Wade like he's a threat from 3). But his playmaking and over all floor game would be nice.

Playoffs in the Land Down Under. Congrats to Luke on leading his team to their first win and fueling their 16 point comeback.

24 points (2-5 from 3)
8 rebounds
1 assist
2 steals
3 blocks

See you soon Mullet Man. I would post some cool highlights but my tweets aren’t loading in RCF right anymore

HAHA a real hoop diehard. I watched this game in real time after setting a calendar reminder for myself.

Good to see Delly next to him in the backcourt. He was really mentoring Luke through the entire game. That excites me for his development as a pro who will know how to adjust and stick when he gets over here.

Last year at Perth, I started having some fears that he might be on a Cedi trajectory with his up and down play, but he really didnt have any vets with the cache that Delly does. Watching him soak in Delly's NBA and Olympic mentorship is alleviating those fears for me a bit.

Less than 50% chance this dude ever makes it farther than a 2 way contract in Cleveland.

Go thru the formula you used.

I’m fascinated since you said so as such a matter of fact.

It's probably the hair, mustache and skin color. Are there any examples in the NBA that check all three of these boxes?

...based on?

We have quite the track record on Lukes. There have been ten Lukes in the NBA and FIVE of them played for us (Walton, Witte, Harangody, Jackson and Kornet). All of them had disappointing careers. Walton is the only Luke coach in NBA history and of course he’s a Cavalier coach.

Travers has lower expectations than any of the other Lukes.

I think we’re just obsessed with guys named Luke. Instead of “More Cowbell!“ we get “More Luke!”

Enough already with the Lukes.
