Welcome Luke Travers

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Game 3 not a good one for Luke shooting wise. 2-9 overall, 0-2 from 3P

But again, it’s such a small sample size and he’s acclimating to a new team and city.

It was either Moon or Doug Williams. But Moon might be the 2nd or 3rd greatest QB to not win a Super Bowl. I had to go with Moon, love me some Warren Moon.
Randall Cunningham?

If I recall, he was consistently called "A great athlete!" and "A real gym rat!"

I love me some Cunningham, but Moon was the better joke because he was a slow plodding QB and was before Vick. I was going to go with an 80's black qb, and Cunningham was more 90's, but Cunningham has one of the greatest plays of all time.

Cunningham was the best QB in the league for the first 4-5 games pretty much every year. Then he would get banged up and come back down to earth. Then he stopped running, went to Minnesota, got the best WR core in NFL history (Carter, Moss, Reed), and just dominated.

Moon and Cunningham were SO good.

Moon was better, Moon was criminally under rated. For awhile there he had the pro QB yards record when including his CFL time, which was required because no one wanted to take a chance on a black QB in the 70's

Moon was amazing. No doubt. I'd still take the First-4-Weeks-of-the-Year Cunningham, though. When he was healthy he had it all. A great vision, a great arm, great running ability. But for 16 games a year, I'd take Moon.

Agree to disagree on healthy Cunningham over Moon. Sure Moon wasnt mobile, but he had a great arm and accuracy for the time, remember, Marino was under 60% completion too.

Don't get me wrong. Moon was a total HOF quarterback who was just a hair below Montana and Marino at the top of the league.

But, IMO, Cunningham was unique when healthy. The closest I have really seen to him since has been Lamar, though Cunningham's arm and vision were better, even if his feet were not.

Either way, you are getting a hell of a talent regardless.

No love for Doug Williams, who actually won a Super Bowl?
No hate for Williams. I don't want to take anything away from him. But, IMO, he was decent, but I don't personally put him in the same caliber as Moon or Cunningham, despite the historic achievement of being the first black QB to win a Super Bowl. Lots of decent-but-not-great QBs have won a Bowl. Simms, Ripien, Flacco, Dilfer, Johnson, McMahon etc.

That Washington team won 2 SBs in 5 years without a superstar QB. That team was just built super tough. Having a good, but not great, QB was all that they needed to be able to win. Still a hell of an achievement for Williams.

Luke Travers fell yesterday while driving to the hoop in the first minute of the game and crashed into a teammate and suffered a concussion. He did not return and played only 47 seconds.

Travers update:

11 games now under his belt with Melbourne.

His Per36 rebounding, steals and blocks are all up.

Unfortunately, his 3P% is down, sitting at 29.6% on 2.5 3PA per game. Hopefully that improves as the season goes on.
