2023-24 Season | Game #70 | Cavs @ Timberwolves | March 22, 2024 | 8:00 p.m.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Wemby, Jacquez , Amen Thompson, Ausar Thompson, Brandon Miller, Scoot Henderson, Anthony Edwards, Haliburton, Tyrese Maxey, Zion Williamson, JA Morant, Tyler Herro, Desmond Bane, Nic Claxton, Coby White, Cade Cunningham, Jalen Green, Evan Mobley, Scottie Barnes, Jonathan Kuminga, Franz Wagner, Senguin, Banchero, Cam Thomas, Tre Murphy, Chet Holmgren, Jabari Smith, Keegan Murray, Jaden Ivey, Ben Mathurin, Walker Kessler, Shaedon Sharpe et al …………..and that’s from spending 2 minutes. I‘m sure that I could come up with 25 -50 more that I’d prefer over him at this point, too (that‘s me personally)
Got it. This list tells me all I need to know... Thank you for playing...

Allen having essentially no individual offensive game is always going to hold this team back. They really need Mobley to blossom, because the pathway to success is not 6 foot guards overdribbling and a bunch of guys camped out at the 3 point line.

I just don't see this team being a serious threat in the postseason with no post presence whatsoever. Not everybody has an Embiid or Jokic, but just about everybody else has a bigger wing that can operate on the block.

There are going to be some major coaching and roster construction issues that need to be addressed in the offseason, but I'm concerned the injuries are going to give Koby all the ammo he needs to do nothing once again.
Honest question: How did Allen's offensive game look when Mitchell was in there and Garland was out?

I'm also disappointed to see this coaching staff not use a true advantage they have with their bigs as passers..

I like to give someone the benefit of the doubt, who broke his jaw, lost 20 pounds etc. He was considered an All Star Snub by many just only last year... The hate is for real...

Starting frontcourt of JA, Niang and Ice. Not exactly Bird, McHale and Parrish.

14/27 vs 7/30. But the problem was we didn’t play CPJ who’s made … let’s see now … 11 three point shots all season.

Minnesota was hot from three and we weren’t.

Coach’s fault!

You’ve reached a bit here lol

Compare Garland to all players on designated rookie extensions.

See where you think he ranks on that list.

And I'll go ahead and save everyone the trouble: he's better than Ben Simmons and I'll still take him over LaMelo Ball.

Now go.

The excuses are mounting.

I once gave him the benefit of the doubt too. Ever occur to u that what we saw of him tonight is just who he is? (excluding the very poor shooting)

It is great when Cleveland loses and the standard haters are out in full force pounding their chests. I always find it amusing...
And the thing is, this game was close when Garland went to the bench and it straight up turned into the Bad News Bears against a good defensive team that pressed.

Cavs fans want Garland to iso victories with scoring options so depleted. Whatever reason he was better last year at it though the last 3rd of the year he was pretty inconsistent. I just don't feel that is when he is used best fwiw. Too much attention on Garland. Some fans need to go further in their criticism of other players. Okoro would be target number 1.players

Perhaps, there are also 34 on there…remove Walker Kessler, Nic Claxton and that‘s still 32, that I’d rate above him. And I have little doubt that there are others left off that list which you and others would include

How did he break his jaw? How would you describe that play? Something that just happened? Just an accident?

To me it was just one different example of Darius playing with his head up his ass, one of the more egregious instances. Horrible turnovers mostly from a lack of focus, over-dribbling causing the whole offense to stagnate, perimeter shot goes MIA. The offense has no flow with Garland running it and I believe that causes our perimeter shooting to suffer. Just when we start to get a little run going Garland always decides to slow walk it up the floor, dribble out on the perimeter, then we jack up a desperation shot with the shot clock running out. This happened repeatedly tonight and it really seems to come down to how Darius wants to play.

I'm sick of watching it. He's had one really decent game since the AS break and I hoped like hell that he was seeing the light. But no, he reverted back to his slow-down, over-dribbling, hero ball bullshit. It's gotten old.

Come on, you know that is by JB design. Early in the 4th we tried it with LeVert and it was worse. You still don't get it and probably won't.

So I'm gonna list all the players on this list who have signed for max extensions.

Edwards, Haliburton, Maxey, Morant, Bane.

Now, who here is Garland better than?

People are being clever with the age thing here. As if the investment in Garland as franchise cornerstone isn't part of this.

Idc if he's better than Cam Thomas, whom the Nets are never gonna turn into a guy expected to help lead them to glory.

I, for one, am critical of DG because he is supposed to be our 2nd best player. One that is able to carry the load and take over the game. Like with Kyrie during the golden days.

The worry is that if this is the preview of the team without Donovan, then I would rather ship DG for a better fitting piece to convince DM to sign that extension.
