I believe we still owe a second rounder.

We do own all our 1st rounders now.
How about we go and trade them away for Jiri Welsch or something guys!? I can't wait to see what we do with them.

It wasn't Ferry's doing in the first place... this ones on Paxson. Can't fix all his mistakes...

Don't we owe that next year's 2nd for Milt Palacio(trade in 02-03). Sigh, that's plain ugly.

So no one's worried about Boston? Pierce/Allen and Jefferson?

I don't really get the Hawks pick at 3. Al Horford is a good player but they took a very simular guy last year in Sheldon Williams. seems like the Hawks roster is just all guys who are duplicates of each other.

The Bobcats may never have a winning season in the history of their franchise

The Knicks made another horrible 1st round pick but nice trade to get Randolph

Seattle clears out Jesus Shuttlesworth so Durant can be the man from the start and pick up Green in the process. word is they want to resign Reshard Lewis but with Durant, Green, Wally World how many SF's do they need?

Portland over the course of 2 drafts has flipped almost their entire roster

I don't see how Jokim noah helps the Bulls but they might have got a steal in Jameson Curry

I believe Philly did well getting Jason Smith and Derrik Byers

Houston reached for Aaron Brooks

Phx was the best spot for Alando Tucker to land but he still looks like a Ruben Patterson clone to me.

Golden State did well to get Wright and Bellinelli plus get rid of an overated /over paid player in Richardson

I am sure Sun Yue is going to make Kobe thrilled to be a Laker

Dj Strawberry is a 2nd rounder who will make it

The Pisstons did well

We'll see how Allen comes out healthwise after having surgery on both ankles this offseason. All in all, just another terrible move by Ainge IMO.

Instead of losing their 50 games by an average of 25 ppg they'll knock that down to somewhere around 18 this year...

Agreed.

They have no future, and they're not good enough to win a ring now.. It's kinda like they're just entering a realm that NJ has been in for a few years now...A couple aging stars that will play well, but nothing around them, no direction, and they'll just settle in mediocrity...

Ainge has absolutely no idea what he's doing.. None.. He is absolutely clueless on how to run a team.. He's just trying his best to add a major name to improve the interest of the Celtics.. He has nothing in place to win.. I feel sorry for him, cause he's trying hard, but his moves just keep digging the ditch a little deeper. (Not Doc Rivers though.. I can't stand that sonofabitch)... The Celtics are in a bad, bad, place...

Ainge is clearly overmatched...

Didn't he pass on the chance for Brandon Roy at #7 for Sebastian Telfair? I mean that's terrible..it's not like it just looks bad it was horrible. The Blazers reached for him at #14...he didn't impress so Ainge gives him a slot 7 picks higher than when the Blazers initially reached for him at? Then he deals the #5 which could have been Brewer or someone else...for Ray Allen who maybe 6 years ago would have been a solid pickup.

I mean you've been going youth the entire time why not package some of them for a proven vet or two to add to the nucleus and the #5 pick.

I've never seen a team suck so bad during the season only to give up their 1st Round selection for 50 cents on the dollar..TWICE

I cannot believe they just re-upped with Doc Rivers. I feel Bill Simmons' plight but then again who cares? We dealt with it with all 3 teams for a decade or more. Plus he ripped the Cavs for not contending with San Antonio...I'd rather suck in the finals than finish dead last and end up with a 32 year old on two surgically repaired ankles 1 surgically repaired knee.

Only one SG has ever maintained great numbers from going 32-34 according to Simmons and Hollinger and that's Reggie Miller.

I actually don't mind the Celtics manuever. Al Jefferson is going to be a super player IMO and I still think Green has a chance to be something special. Add Gomes, Rondo, and Perkins and that is a good young core.

The problem is no fans were going to let this team develop because the Celts have been bad for so long that people are just sick of losing. Pierce and Allen allow that team to grow with no pressure on the youngsters while they get playing time.

* Edit: This doesn't excuse Ainge for the horrific Doc resigning or the Telfair trade.

The team that scare me though if they healthy is Charlotte:
Felton, Hermann, J-Rich, Wallace, Okafur. That team is suddenly loaded in terms of talent at multiple positions
