With our first lottery pick (hopefully 1st overall)...

We should really try to get Kyrie Irving. There are a lot of good PGs out there that would do a decent job starting for NBA teams but rarely does a player like Irving ever come around. I think he's exactly what the Cavs need, a franchise player. He can score at will, has great court vision, and plays good defense.

Don't get me wrong Derrick Williams is a terrific player but I'm worried at how he'll transition into the NBA. Especially on the defensive end, he is too small to guard NBA PFs and maybe a little to slow for the SFs. He is stuck between the 3 and 4 positions.

With our second lottery pick...

We could get either a big or a wing. I would like to see Terrence Jones. A guy who can score, rebound, defend, and most importantly I think he would compliment Irving very well. He is a combo forward but I think he fits better in the 3 position.

Possibly Enes Kanter would be a good fit. He can play both the center and power forward positions. I see him as a kind of stronger, more athletic Luis Scola/Al Horford.

Alec Burks would be another option. A pure scorer who can create his own shot Burks is a nightmare for opposing guards. He has good potential on the defensive end. My only concern is how he'll fit with Irving, I mean Burks can score on his own.

By the way I'm new here, and this is my first post. Let me know what you think about my suggestions and tell me yours.

Good thoughts but there are already like 3 or 4 thread devoted to players we like the Cavs to draft...

I like:

1. Kyrie Irving - Self explanitory
8-9: Alec Burks - Really like the way he attacks the basket and his overall offensive efficiency. Less athletic version of DeMar DeRozan IMO.
31: Josh Selby - Some had him higher on their draft boards a little while a go. Don't know much about him, just hoping attitude problems where not the reason in him dropping down.
54: Bismack Biyombo - Athletic freak. Won't play in the NBA for at least 2 years IMO, but has been compared to Serge Ibaka. Massive 7'7" wingspan.
