2015 College Football Season/Playoff Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Clemson almost just pulled a Clemson, and may have had Brian Kelly not blown it.

Michigan is going to be a very difficult game for the Buckeyes this year.

Which makes it no different than the last four years.

I mean tougher than those. OSU might actually lose this one.

Still a long ways until then, though. It's kind of moot because they'll lose way before they even get to The Game if they keep playing like this. Gotta play better.

I think NOrthwestern is really getting disrespected by the pollsters. Duke is 4-1 and has started ACC play 2-0 and Stanford is also 4-1 and has completely dominated its first two PAC 12 opponents (USC and Arizona) and both have been beaten by Northwestern.

Going solely by on field results, NW has been the BTs best team so far this year, and I don't think it is all that close.

Legitimately I think NW might have the best resume to date out of all teams. If we ranked teams based solely off of their record and who they have beaten, Northwestern should probably be the number 1 team.

The single best win this season was Ole Miss over Alabama. But Ole Miss has since lost. I would argue the next best win this season was Northwestern over Stanford. Stanford is the second best 1 loss team in my opinion. It's a joke then that there are any 1 loss teams ranked ahead of Northwestern.

You just laid out a pretty good reason teams AREN'T solely off their record and who they've beaten this early.

Got to think NW at least covers the +8 this weekend, but whatever that games O/U is...I'm betting big on the under.

They may very well be a different team than they were in week 1, but Stanford's offense has been obliterating people. Other than Northwestern. 5 games in and that Northwestern defense more than passes any eye test. They look scary good. If Northwestern beats Michigan this weekend, the only way you keep them out of the top 5 is if you just don't believe in the program itself, because they'll be deserving.

Georgia is pretty awful without Chub. Hope he's okay.

Since every college game is at least 4 fucking hours long these days, anyone know where I can catch the start of Cal/Utah?

I expect Michigan to be a favorite next week at home versus Michigan St.

In fact, if OSU was playing Michigan next week, I am not sure OSU would be favored either.

So this has all be escalating today...

Woof...what a dumpster fire.

On a related note: Trojan War on Tuesday night, should be a good one.
