I get excited, home runs are like foreign territory to me after watching The big league club all year
Bradley Zimmer went 2-2 with 2 walks today, raising his average to .271
Naquin1-4 with a double and a walk in his first game back from his concussion. Excited to see what he can do when he comes up in September.
Likely won't be among those who get called up, IMO.
Wow, really? That'd be pretty disappointing, no?
And if he isn't part of September call-ups, he's definitely not going to be in the plans to start next season.
Sort of terrified of what CF/RF is going to look like on opening day next year.
I don't think those plans were going to include Naquin. He doesn't appear to be ready for that kind of jump IMO.
I'd expect him up at some point next year, but I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the Indians spare themselves the 40-man move in September.
They clearly like Almonte as well.
Like I said - terrified of CF/RF to start next season.

Yep.
I think it's a placeholder until they're ready to call up Zimmer.
Can almost guarantee they'll go out and get a Chris Denorfia type player on a low money deal as a bridge. A veteran who can play all three OF spots.
I wouldn't be looking for Naquin to plug any holes in RF/CF. That guy's ceiling is 4th OF. That bat isn't going to play in an MLB outfield.
Definitely think they'll go after a "big bat," in some capacity to man the RF spot. But I think a guy like Denorfia is the only type they're certain to sign for depth purposes.
There just isn't a lot out there, they're going to have to get creative to add another bat.
