Lost 11-9 today to the Royals. Brian Shaw got lit up.
Maybe I'm not remembering but I can't remember a time period where the Indians had more up and coming prospects in the system than they do right now. Just to think about the prospects who have to wait... and wait some more because the position is jammed up? It seems to me we have ample ammunition for a nice trade or two to win this thing this year.
Yeah, good point. Looking at the 90's in hindsight we clearly see how those prospects turned out. Did we have the same feelings about those prospects back then as we have about our current prospects? Probably so. I don't think we can sit here and say what prospect now will become a HOF'er or a great player just like we didn't say the 90's prospects will definitely be great players at that time. I just think we have more prospects with potential now we can use in trades by the deadline to go for the Ship this year.We do have a lot of talent in spots, but can you not remember the early 90's? They had HOF career type players rushing through their system, all of them with special power.
Don't get me wrong, Lindor is a very, very great prospect but he's not the package that a player like, say, Albert Belle or Manny was.

Gavin Floyd to get an MRI.
I understand that as a small market team we need to take a risk on guys like Floyd and Brett Myers, but have we hit on a reclamation project since Millwood?
Totally forgot about Kazmir.Scott Kazmir was a good one. They're hit and miss, that's why they're cheap.
