The MLE and vet min market is starting to thaw. Let's see which player(s) we end up with. Would like to see something happen quick but not going to fret about Brandon Rush
Especially when Lance and Acy are both still out there.
I'd forget about Lance..
There is not evidence of that. I think next week they work on JR Smith and Jefferson. I think the largest potential impact free agent is Larry Sanders. He would be a bust and you may have to cut him early, but who cares if he becomes your best defender.Something with the Cavs is brewing. I know they basically have pennies to spend but its too quite. Watch it be something out of left field.
We actually had interest last year but he said he was not ready. He announced he wanted to come back next year in the spring. The Warrior have expressed interest and there was a report the Cavs also had interest. I just dont see a downside to giving him a vet minimum contract. Maybe he is holding out for a bigger offer from another team or the cavs think he still has issues. I just think talent wise he has the most upside by far. We dont even have a 4th big right now either.I don't get this Larry Sanders stuff. Who said we're trying to get him or that he's even thinking of coming back and if he did, I could see him joining the Warriors. LOL
Never, Gour, never! I won't let go of my Lance on the Cavs dream.
I wonder if it's because I have highly sensitive ear lobes?
The Cavs have to take "chances" with the pennies they have to spend. It is obvious the decent players willing to sign for less are heading to the Warriors. Because of that, players like Lance are what the Cavs need to target. It was not long ago he was considered a major target by teams. He is versatile and can do a lot of things IF HIS head is on right. Same reason I begged for Cavs to sign Beasley last year for next to nothing.
Honestly if the Cavs could get Sanders out of retirement, add Lance for pennies and find another "veteran"'that can add 10-15 minutes a game at PF (Williams would be ideal but not likely to sign for that little), the Cavs would be SET. But right now, everyone is taking about it Warriors having a injury. Hate to tell you, but the Cavs are way worse. If Bron, Irving or Love get hurt, wrap it up.
WAY worse? I think that is a stretch.
There's plenty of useful guys still out there, Cavs just need to be patient.
It's likely they have standing offers with a lot of the remaining guys and they're being shopped to see what else is out there.
Just gotta be patient and see what they end up doing.
If LeBron gets hurt, we have a better chance of going outside during a thunderstorm and trying to dodge the rain than we do winning a championship. That's very obviously a given. The Cavs have to take "chances" with the pennies they have to spend. It is obvious the decent players willing to sign for less are heading to the Warriors.
