Dan Quinn should join Pete Carrol in the Patriots Hall of Fame after this one. Blows my fucking mind how coaches just go full retard like this. The game was over after Julio caught that pass. All they had to do was run 3 times and kick a FG and win the fucking Super Bowl. Hell, they could have just fucking knee'd it 3 times.

That was a Browns level choke.

THIS. THIS. FUCKING THIS. Seriously. You either burn almost two minutes off the clock (if you miss the FG), or you force the Pats to use their timeouts. Like really, what the fuck are you doing?

Not only that, but the play where Ryan fumbled, it was 3rd and 1. Devonta had been running all over them at that point. Why are you going empty backfield and throwing?

I get playing not to lose, but Jesus, take the time into account at least a little bit.

Yeah the decision not to just run the ball when they were in clear FG range with less than 4 minutes to play and up 8 points was just bizarre and horrible.

Bad coaching and clock management killed the Falcons, but nothing should be taken away from the Patriots. Down 19 going into the 4th and found a way to win the game.

We just witnessed the single greatest year of championships in sports. Cavs come back from 3-1 and end the drought. Cubs come back from 3-1 and end the cute. Clemson wins on the last play. And then the patriots make the biggest comeback and win in the first overtime in super bowl history. What year is even close to this collectively?

So, in basketball terms is this bigger choke-job than Warriors last NBA Finals?

Am a NFL noob. So, help a brother out!
We earned every one of those wins down 3 1 with great play. I don't think it was a choke, I think the cavs were the better team and won. The Falcons had the ball at the 21 first and 10 with a little over three minutes left up 8. They should have run the ball and kicked a fg to go up 11 and forced the Patriots to use all thier time outs. That was a horrible coaching move, and that to me is much more of a choke than the Warriors

If you follow football/soccer, Leicester City winning the Premier League.

Also, Nadal vs Federer in 2017 Australian Open.

Some amazing events.

Agreed w clock management. It seems that analytics hasn't quite caught up to end of game real life situations. Like the optimal play has changed based on probability of outcomes on say, going for it on 4th and 3 from your opponent's 35. However, in yesterday's situation, I thought it was blatantly obvious that you make NE burn their timeouts and make it a 2 score game. You could have kneeled it.

I can't complain tho, I bet on the Patriots.

Generally don't watch the halftime show, and I'm not a fan of Gaga's music. But she did a really good job, and kept it apolitical.

But I still don't get all the dancers and stuff.

Wasn't the NCAA Tournament won on the last shot?

Might agree with you if the Cubs' win didn't come at the expense of a battered Indians team.
