2018 ALDS | Cleveland Indians vs. Houston Astros | Starts Oct. 5th

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I don't hear no fat lady..............greatest comeback in post season history ?

We have that great comeback against Seattle down 12-0 and 14-2 in the 7th let's do it again.

Eh, this team doesn't deserve to be defended anymore. They've earned their label of chokers until they prove otherwise.

Pretty much what I'm saying. Does Tito get a pass though? Definitely a bad showing from the team and him.

You definitely don't blow it up. That's just crazy. We're Cleveland, not Boston, not New York. We're not buying more talented players than we have.

That's what makes it so frustrating. They are very talented. They all turn into pumpkins, when the post-season starts. I don't know how to explain it, but you just ride with the core guys and hope they eventually grow a pair.

You're not upgrading Lindor and Ramirez. You're just not....

You definitely make changes. The bullpen is by far the biggest one. You can't go far with a bullpen that awful. So it shouldn't be much surprise we lose this series.

The surprise/disappointment is how bad our hitters continue to be in the spot light.

Who's talking "blow-up"? I would hope fans are smarter than that.

We need to fire a few coaches, and a few players. Then work extremely hard on the trade market while keeping our nose in the free agent market. Let's see if this grade A organization can keep it up.

Not sure where to start with this shit show, but José continuing his prolonged slump by going 0-11 in this series has to be the most disturbing development.

Did Tito lose his friggin’ mind?

Clev was doing FINE. Why bring Bauer in there?

And seriously? You let Allen put another game out of reach? That is ridiculous. I’ve been one of the biggest Tito defenders ON here, but that combination of moves was INSANE.

Why was Bauer even relieving at all? A piggyback starter if someone else was in short rest? Sure. First guy out of the pen if someone gets bombed early? Yes. Or if he’s ready, just a regular starter.
Why did Tito think Bauer as a middle innings, close game reliever made any sense?

23-34 vs teams above .500, just a very bad season that carried on throughout today, bullpen and timely hitting is largely responsible. It was just a lousy ass season. Sure, players got their stats, but they beat up on three 100 loss teams to get them. Maybe they needed more competition instead of sleepwalking, who knows.

Meh. Clevinger had already thrown 99 pitches and wasn’t as sharp as his stat line. Plus he had just given up given up an absolute bomb in the 5th. Even if you put Clev back out there and he gets through the sixth unscathed, that’s gonna be his last ending anyway.

Going to Bauer wasn’t bad considering he did work a clean sixth. Staying with Clev wouldn’t made much difference then going to Bauer in this case.

Now... sticking with Bauer and allowing him to give up the lead when he appeared to be running on fumes in the seventh wasn’t great. But given what happened with the rest of the pen right after that, I’m just not sure what Tito’s really could have done diffferent.

In 20 years, we’re going to look back at this rotation+Lindor and wonder how we never won the whole thing. We were one goddamned drone and fluke Carrasco injury away.

With the benefit of perfect hindsight...

Clevinger in the 6th
Bauer in the 7th
Some combo of Perez and Miller in the 8th?
Hand in the 9th

I don’t know if that gets it done anyway considering how shaky Miller and Hand were.
