I was at the game against the Lions and Willies came up limp towards the end. Might have cost him. Either way I think they're putting a premium on speed at the WR position.

I think the 3rd perseason game and the most of first half of the 4th preseason game showed that Willies wasn't ready to be a spot fill in type player. I think he was let go for the same reason Strong was, if we had to ever rely on him as a 2nd or 3rd receiver it was going to be ugly. They wanted someone more consistent until Callaway comes back.

I could see Willies on the practice squad. I could also see them bring back Braxton or go after a similar type player that can come in with a handful of scripted plays a game, once they figure out the o-line situation. I still think they will make moves in the next week. Maybe they try to sneak Ratley or Forbes on to the practice squad. Maybe one of these new o-linemen that they traded for wins the starting job and they cut Kush.

I would imagine 31 other teams secondary's are very shaky after their top 3 cornerbacks.

I’m sure they are. But there were some decent DBs cuts yesterday. Wouldn’t mind bringing back jamar Taylor or BBC.

I’m sure they are. But there were some decent DBs cuts yesterday. Wouldn’t mind bringing back jamar Taylor or BBC.

We have better players than them now.

Taylor is an athletic slot receiver. I am not totally sure he provides a ton of value this year unless Jarvis gets hurt. He is better than any of the other backup slot options we tested in training camp.

We have Bitonio, Kush, Corbett, Forbes, Teller and Mcray. Forbes is technically listed as a T on the team website, and Corbett has obviously played C. But we essentially have 6 guards on the roster right now. I can’t imagine going into the season with 6 guards. There will be some sort of move.
