I was at the FanGraphs meetup event at the Speakeasy on W 25th, where Kiley McDaniel and Eric Longenhagen were on the Q and A panel. I told them that I see Robinson Cano and a little Juan Soto in George Valera, and they laughed at that idea. Not so sure they will be laughing in a few years.
I see a lot of Garret Anderson, honestly. Just a natural hitter. Obviously there is more power there than there was with Anderson, but that swing is just so pure. Fast, level, and the way the ball jumps off his bat is incredible.

One of my favorite guys in the business, Ray Butler, came out with his updated top 200 prospects today. Tribe has 9 guys who made the cut, 3 of which made his top 50.

33) Valera
35) Jones
43) Freeman
67) Rocchio
123) Rodriguez
127) Angel Martinez
135) Hankins
136) McKenzie (top 50 if healthy, easy)
152) Johnson

I hope Bradley doesn't lose confidence with the demotion. He needs to work hard on laying off pitches that puts him in that 0-2, 1-2 hole, that's when he becomes a very easy strikeout. His HR was a moon shot, the 5th hardest hit ball all season for the Tribe, i hope he can learn to pick his pitches and develops a better eye. His thunder is special off that bat when he catches a barrel.

He really need to learn plate discipline like Santana has. I think if he learns that skill, he could easily stay in the majors. I feel he should be alright in due time, since he went and got a taste of the bigs and I am sure he will want to be back. I dont doubt guys have talked to him about things and will help keep that confidence up.

Isnt it a dry heat though? So its not as bad as the humid heat, but you would be a better judge of that then me. Also how many of the kids on the AZL teams are from Latin America? Some of those countries are hot all year around!

Also what has Ka'ai Tom changed for this season? He is still hitting well at AAA. He has had more HRs and BBs than any other season in less ABs.

112 degrees is 112 degrees. It’s hot as fuck. Have you ever been in that type of heat?

Its warmer to the body if its 90 degrees and 100% humidity than 112 degrees in dry heat. All I was stating was the fact we have a fair amount of guys who grew up around the equator/in warm climates, so the heat isn't as bad to them as some others. Though I agree it still is dang hot out. I think if temperatures are greater than a certain temperature, teams are allowed to take a water break during an inning/get water brought out to them in between batters.

Sort of a dry heat, at this time of year the monsoon starts to come and then the heat comes with 50% humidity. August is the worst month because its humid and hot. Do they do the AZL in August?
