2019 NBA Playoffs Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Looks like Harden jumps forward, every time he shoots. Harden and the defender meet in the middle, Harden falls backwards. I am all for not rewarding that bull-shit. Play basketball, you pussy. This isn’t soccer.

That's true, but I think a lot of three point shooters jump forward on the shot. When we watch replays to determine whether it's a two or a three it's not unusual to see the shooter start behind the line and land inside or on it. Still have to let him land.

If the defender was going straight up and the shooter jumped into him I could see no call, but that's not what happened today. And it happened to Paul, too.

Also, Harden has flopped so much that the refs might not trust him. Kind of on him too.

Never fear, the NBA will address it in their bullshit final two minutes report.

What is even the point of those? They never make it right anyway, they just admit it's their fault and move on.

It's their way of trying to appear transparent and accountable.

is there something wrong with Budenholzer as a playoff coach? His Atlanta teams put up great regular season records then collapsed as soon as they met real opposition in the playoffs. Hope Milwaukee doesn’t do the same.

The good thing is once GS wins the title this year that will probably be the last one they win for many, many, many years. Curry, Green and Thompson arent enough. If Klay even stays. Theres a light at the end of this tunnel.

If that's the case then it's like Green and his nut kicking. If he does it every time then it's his natural motion. So getting hit is a foul

I think you are right - his natural motion is flopping. He has been doing it so long, he doesn’t know another way. That behavior needs to be extinguished, by never again rewarding it.

Windhorst noted that, after Harden missed the game-tying 3, Paul got the rebound and was looking to feed Harden for another 3 attempt, but Harden was on his ass. If you don’t flop, you get another chance to tie the game.

The NHL has a penalty for “Embellishment” - diving, essentially. The NBA should be quicker to hand out technicals for flopping - you’ll get rid of it in a HURRY...

I agree with that and they mentioned it on the broadcast.

Except they call that shit from October to April so are they fooled only than but no during the playoffs. Than forget about it next year and remember in the playoffs again

The NBA should consider giving refs the power to give out flagrant-2's for egregious flopping. Things like Harden pretending to be hit in the throat when replays showed he "reacted" before even being touched.

Boot him out of a game or two, and maybe he doesn't do that shit anymore.

Why is everyone suddenly talking about the officiating? Neither of these team had one of their stars called for a blocking foul, when a charge was looked at, even though the defender was nowhere near the restricted area.

Cry me a river, for both of these teams. They are both insults to the sport of basketball. One, because it destroyed competitive balance in the league by recruiting a talented pussy to a conference champion. The other, because their entire offense is predicated on initiating and exaggerating contact, so as to spend hours at the FT line. I would not be sad if BOTH these teams lost stars to ACL tears. Seriously.
