Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Noooooo!!!

He was a tremendous talent. A real generational player, with God given gifts that can't be taught!

Like those beautiful eyes and smile:

And bountiful, ample, meaty:

And he was a great football player too. One of my favorites. And a great humanitarian.

Yes, Dear, hot hot Luke. We are.

No. Guess I meant I could see him retiring early, but not due to injuries. Just based on his personality.

Whatever. I’ll shut up now :chuckle:

Well, both he and Luck had the Draft Day-esque "one criticism...he has too many interests outside of football" thing when they were on the big boards.

I hate to think, only because of who he plays for, that RG3 could end up with more rings than Luck; Lamar's backup is basically the perfect job for him, a la Hoyer on the Pats.

Figured Luke's days were numbered when he cried after the concussion in 2016...that was painful to watch.

Elite players don't just retire in their prime for no reason when they can still make millions. I can't see Garrett doing something like this unless his body starts to break down on him like Luck's did or he's seriously worried about his future due to multiple head injuries like Kuechly must be.

Or if they get secretly suspended for gambling like Jordan.

Chris Borland could realistically have ended up elite IMHO, to say nothing of Patrick Willis from the 9ers; I'll exclude Navorro Bowman due to his injuries.

Navorro definitely would have played more if he could.

I said to him on the elevator back in the fall that it is a real shame he had to retire. He looked at my cane and said "I didn't want to need one of those."

We have to go against this beast. Everyone knows they are gonna run and they can't stop him. That's tough.

Fantastic!

Oh Art:

God help us if they change things around again to try to ram him through.

I can't believe "hurr durr Al Davis moved a team too" is actually an argument used by Jamo Hensley and the other Baltimore media, as if neither man had any other pros and cons and there was no context to the moves.

The more I think about it, the more I think the Titans are going to be really, really tough to beat. As a Chiefs fan, I've had that inner confidence that we can just smoke them with our offense. But now I honestly do believe it might be a real struggle to beat them.

Of course Derrick Henry gets that respect. But it isn't just about him. The Titans have had shut down defense the last two games, they have elite coaching, and Tannehill will likely have a great game. They execute in the red zone. They are really just a tough and tough minded football team.

Arrowhead could be the difference maker. But Titans have already won on the road twice. They are confident. The Chiefs are very confident too but I'm worried they might be over confident. I always have confidence in Pat if it's a shootout. But the Titans play the one style that can frustrate us and beat us. And they play it well.

The strategy will probably be to let Derrick Henry get his and try to limit their passing game as much as possible. I don't know if that is the best strategy available, but it might be since Henry will likely get his either way. A problem for the Chiefs is that Chris Jones may not play again. That could be a tough blow in a game like this.

The difference is stopping the ravens and stopping the chiefs are two completely different animals. I am not saying either one is easy but the titans on defense absolutely have their work cut out for them and i just don't see how they will do it.

I dont know if i would give either the 49ers or chiefs 7.5 points but i absolutely think both teams should win.

I think the Titans offense is their best defense. If they can control the clock with the run, they can control the game. And that could get us anxious to make big plays when we finally touch the ball which will get us out of our rhythm.

The Chiefs defense really needs to play well. If the Titans turn it over or give us a short field, that will be a big killer for them. And if it gets into a shootout, that goes in our favor. But I'm just saying, if they can control the clock, it is anyone's game. The Titans are insanely efficient in the red zone. The stats are mind boggling.

I'm a bandwagon Titans fan this postseason, but I don't think they have a very realistic chance of beating the Chiefs. Even if they can control the clock, if they can't score a TD on the majority of their possessions the Chiefs will outscore them. I just don't have confidence in their ability to hold the Chiefs to under 25 or so that I think they'd need to to win.

49ers and Chiefs.

-Rodgers has stunk against the Cover 1/3, zone base coverage over the past three years. 49ers use that system 100% of the time. They are going to either have to give up Davante Adams or Jimmy Graham to Richard Sherman; or alternatively, sick them on the same side of the field and make the 49ers' scheming much easier.

-I actually think Titans have a legitimate shot in this one. Their secondary should be able to condense the field and they have the only defense that can slow down Mahomes. I.E., I do not think the Titans need to do what the Texans did and try to just outscore the Chiefs. If the Titans and their #2 ranked efficient passing offense and Derrick Henry can put up 24 points, then I think they probably take this one.
