2019 Series #44 | Indians @ Rays | August 30th, 31st, and September 1st

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Don’t wanna say it but I think the division race is over. Gotta make sure we line up our pitchers well for the one game playoff.
Not over until those series we have with the Twins but its starting to slip slide away

Since the Mets series we are 5-2 including today's loss. And yes our offence has stuggled, yet ill take that record any day. That is a direct result of how good our pitching staff is overall IMO. Tito has always had a knack for making the best out of his pitching staff. This year is just another example of his starter/bullpen knowledge and how to maximize talent.

As a child watching baseball my father always would say "In the Majors, pitching wins games". I believe this. Look at Boston for example, former World Series Champs and 3rd in the AL for runs scored, yet 7th in the AL as far as record. Tribe is 10th in the AL for runs scored but 4th best record.

What I'm saying is that pitching is just way more important in today's game and its good to see our front office put an emphasis on that area of signing/recruiting/drafting.

True, but you can't expect to continue to win games vs. good teams with the way the offense has performed. 4 runs or fewer in 8 of their last 10.

I think starting pitching is definitely most important for the regular season. Think there are arguments to be made for the postseason.

Running ourselves into outs so far today. Margin of error slimmer now with the injuries to the lineup, so we really can’t afford to be reckless on the base path.

Still pissed about that bullet Puig hit right into a snag. That's a bad luck ball in play for sure.

Been hitting atom balls all day. Sometimes it's like that. :conf (8):

Feel like injuries might be finally catching up to us. Losing Ramirez is just such a big deal. Because outside Santana and Lindor, he's really the only good hitter.. Kipnis isn't bad. But not in the category of those three.

The rest are just sluggers. Puig, Reyes, etc.. Mercado is still a rookie. So he's going to be hot, then cold quite a bit.

Is anyone in this bullpen worth a damn right now? lol Well, this game is about to get away from us again.

Bullpen has been crap lately. Sucks watching the good guys lose, I just can't get myself excited for the remaining season due to the inflating injuries and the roided out Twins. Then you look at Houston's lineup and I swear they are all hitting a .900 OPS.

Came to terms of it just being not our year and shit happens.

I didn't really think we'd win it all anyways. Still, its sad to see it all unravel like this.

This bullpen just can't go against real teams. Missing too many important guys.

Not completely down, think the future is still very bright. Just not our year.

Twins about to lose. At least in 2 days they actually have to play real Major League teams again. Edit, 3 days. Jesus that Tigers series even wraps around through Monday.

I think bullpen is the most important, and I don't care what our ERA is. They got the least amount of innings pitches, so of course the number will be skewed because of how great the starters have been.

It's clear as day, when our bullpen goes against real competition, they don't hold well. And they're all trending downward.

The way we're playing, and the injuries we have, is not encouraging for a post-season run.

And in Today's game, everything is kinda a big deal. Starting pitching, defense, hitting, and definitely bullpen. The teams are too good.

Our strength is starting pitching, and everything else is lackluster.

And our starters are starting to run out of gas.
