Bring my fellow Wildcat homeDerek Dietrich asked for and received his release from the Reds.
Former RCF hero of the Dolan is cheap crowd, not sure if there is a fit here now.
They ar3 looking for a Major League Park...ok, cannot blame them, but feel bad for Buffalo. This was their shot...Y'all ready for the Pittsburgh Blue Jays?
Hello there fellow alumnus..Bring my fellow Wildcat home
Oh, I'm being completely facetious on bringing Dietrich in. I don't think he adds much to this roster that isn't already present.Hello there fellow alumnus..
Unfortunately there was a report out there over a year ago that some in player leadership torpedoed the idea of Dietrich previously.
Like or not, clubhouse makeup is an important part of the process. Not sure if the thoughts would have changed now..
On a separate note I think that is a HUGE reason (club house culture) why Puig was not brought back for 2020..
So... Mookie goes from the Red Sox, where no extension was going to be considered.. to the Dodgers.. and before he plays a single game, is in serious negotiations for a probable 10 year plus contract extension..
What changed?..
-The past two season where even the highest profile free agents to be got paid..slowly
-The advent of a global pandemic giving rise to massive revenue losses..
Before another off season of slow/non existant negotiations for free agent contracts take place or can truly take effect.. & the pandemic continues on its merry way (as if anyone can wave a magic wand to fix it making the blame game going on not only foolish but down right morbid) Mookie signs..
The question becomes..will Frankie wake up tomorrow and see what Mookie is doing or has done and come to the same conclusion.. "...love the one I am with.."

Like Bob said, it has always been about Frankie. The Indians aren't coming up with $350 million over ten years so trying to compare what Mookie is doing with Frankie is just apples and oranges.So...
