Big Ten is using Quidel antigen tests. Below is why you don't use them as surveillance tests to prevent outbreaks. Ohio State should have established their own PCR lab for the football team.

Chances are high that we will miss out on the B1G title. But if Indiana managed to win it, I think that might actually help our case to sneak into the playoff.

Lots of reasons to not be optimistic though.

Yep. I've accepted the national title and playoff picture is gonna be Mickey Mouse as fuck. Would have liked another Big Ten title though.

I also just realized that the players who tested positive won't be able to play for 21 days. Basically they are all out for the rest of the regular season.

Michigan state hasn't been good this year. If the Buckeyes want to get to the big ten championship game and the playoffs, they need put every players into the team hotel in individual rooms and isolate them for the next 4-5 days. Food brought to the door and tested with PCR tests everyday. Hope they can practice by Thursday and put a game plan together virtually.

I dont think this is as easy as you make it sound to just isolate an entire college football team at the drop of a hat.

Some of them very well might not be able to isolate. They may have other responsibilities like taking care of kids or their parents, for instance.

How many of them have even shown symptoms, let alone go to the hospital, let alone die?

College football players are in a damn near 0% risk group. Thats a fact. The regular flu is as big a risk to them as covid is.

Oregon lost to Oregon State. This increases the likelihood that the PAC is out of the playoff and slightly increases our chances of sneaking in, but lots to see before that point. Gonna need to root for Indiana hard as our B1G East proxy.
