2020 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The Dolphins are looking like the huckleberry at the moment.

I could also see the Chargers losing their minds. Herbert's best path to NFL relevance might be with Anthony Lynn either way.

Yeah, Herbert had all the tools at his disposal in 2019 and couldn't stop making mind-numbing throws.

Perhaps there is a pathway to success for him out there in the NFL, but I'm just not seeing it with him either. His tools are okay, albeit raw.

But he just doesn't seem like he understands defenses at all, like even a modicum of understanding of how to exploit matchups or reading what he's being given pre-snap.

Reminds me of mason Rudolph

The Chargers would be better off signing Marcus Mariota

OH, don't get me wrong, I don't think Herbert is going to succeed. His accuracy is so extremely hit or miss and he doesn't provide the crazy athletic numbers that guys like Cam, Allen and maybe even Wentz provide.

Tua will be totally mediocre in the NFL, but it'll be good enough that an NFL team will consider him their franchise guy...sounds familiar....

Anyway, I think the Browns are going to get extremely lucky in that many of the teams that need tackle help are going to see some legitimate skill position guys as more valuable than a tackle. They have a great shot at getting one of the top 3 tackles, maybe even a shot at the best one.

Tua may end up on one of those teams which doesn't need him to be great and have himself a nice career.

As a prospect, I'd take Baker over him 10/10 times.

I think Tua is a little more scheme flexible, but I'd agree.

Is this just the mock draft cycle, of making sure things change, or why is someone like Jeudy being mocked in the 8-12 range in a lot of places? Hell, CBS even put him at 15, drafted after Lamb....

I get it is a good receiver class but what am I missing here?......I had not seen Jeudy play much until that Michigan bowl game......and when it looked liked he was running routes on a moving escalator, I think I audibly said "Jesus" a few times. He just looks so special athletically.

Does it just speak to the interior (OL/DL) talent? Or team needs and that talent? Or how does a receiver with his physical gifts and hands potentially fall outside the top 10?

I'd imagine this will all change when he lights up the combine but I just watch his film and see a mix of top off ability but coupled with hands and route running, and that is just a really, really hard guy to find. Just that blend of being an all level threat.

Is there concern about his frame? His attitude? Something else? Or just non QB skill players pushing downward because of other positions? He just seems like a guy who will step in and immediately be a 1B ish guy with the ability to be an All-Pro.

Most years, like nearly every year, Juedy would be the clear #1 WR and an easy top 10 pick.

This draft has some really special talent at the top with Burrow, Young and some others. Not to mention there being a total freak of a WR in CeeDee Lamb.

Unfortunate for him but Jeudy will still be an amazing talent at WR.

On a side note, this RB class is growing on me. I really, really like a guy like Cam Akers in the 3rd or 4th round especially.

Both are freaks, honestly.

Jeudy has dropped a few balls that he shouldn't have dropped this year. The occasional mental lapse can't be overshadowed by special route running and athleticism in space.

As a draft prospect, where would people rank Okudah up against the likes of Eli Apple, Denzel Ward, and Marshon Lattimore? Obviously some bias involved with Apple being a bust relative to his draft position while the latter 2 have been very good when healthy

Not a draft scout by any means, but super impressed with Okudah's fluidity/movement. Don't think he is going to run in the 4.3's like Ward and Lattimore, but he does have a bit of size on those two.

1. Okudah
2. Ward
3. Lattimore
4. Conley
5. Apple

Would have had Roby behind Ward. Lattimore only gets dinged as a PROSPECT because of the soft tissue injuries he had at OSU, he was tremendous when on the field, just a bit more raw.

Just based off watching Okudah play this season, without breaking down any film of him yet, I have Ward, Lattimore, then Okudah. Okudah to me seems more stiff than the other two, which I'm going to say dings him in terms of man coverage ability. Once I watch some tape of him, I want to see if this opinion holds true.

I didn't like Conley or Apple. They were just kinda off my draft board. Based on where they were slotted to go, I had no interest.

I'm still bitter about not picking Tre'Davious White. The dude had the best feet of any CB I've ever watched. Could you imagine if White and Ward were our two starting corners? (Although, admittedly, if I were the GM, I wouldn't have traded down with Houston. We'd have picked Malik Hooker at 12 and he hasn't been able to stay healthy).
