The reporter for that article follows Lombardi's claim in the next line saying they confirmed he sustained one wrist injury. Also, I don't think it's a coincidence that reports come out of Miami about Tua's injuries the same week the Lions and Redskins are reported to be shopping their picks. They have all the interest to push that narrative in hopes he falls and they can replace Fitz.
His injuries are undeniable, not going to argue that, but I'm not convinced it will make that much of an impact on his draft position. We've seen QB's with no injury history in college end up injury-plagued in the NFL (Luck, Stafford, Big Ben), guys with concerning injury history getting drafted high (Bradford, RGIII), and guys suffering bad injuries recovering fine (Brees, Bridgewater, Watson). It's kind of a crap shoot. I think GM's (and owners) will shoot their shot grabbing a franchise-QB and hope NFL medical staff can keep their guy healthy.
Normally, I think you'd be right. I just wonder if NFL teams are going to be more gun-shy given that these guys aren't being put through the usual medical exams.
