First: I'm guessing Jones starts the season in Akron & Freeman starts the season in Lynchburg. Both would be in line for moving up during the season if they are performing well.

As for getting to a few games - Perhaps a few of us should arrange a group outing to share observations and thoughts on what is seen...

Lake County games are going to be FUN this year

Couple things of note with some of the younger guys in Arizona, mostly pitchers.

McKenzie looks very healthy. Fills out a little bit more every off season, but this has been his biggest mass gain winter to date.

Daniel Espino came back thicker, especially in the lower body. He has a grown man body at 19. Has arguably the best arm talent I've ever seen and it comes off smooth, not forced.

Oviedo looks healthy and in better shape than he came in last year.

Some guys who were hurt last year are in and looking healthy, most notably Lenny Torres and Xzavion Curry.

As far as hitters go, Rocchio, Gabby Rodriguez, and Joe Naranjo have been living in the training center in Goodyear all winter. Curious to see how all 3 do and what league they end up starting in.

I got one two years ago, I just didn’t end up watching it as much as I thought I would. Maybe I might this year ago though since I am actually watching some tv and if I can get the app for it on Roku I probably will get it

As will Columbus!

Looking forward to catching far more games down here this season with our bounty of pitching prospects and outfielders knocking on the MLB door.

About time for one of each position to kick that bad boy down.

Will be fun to see Zimmer round back into baseball form, his new stance seems far more reliable. He will continue to be a terror for the opposition out on the base paths.

If anyone is from the Mahoning Valley or a Scrappers fan, a local Youngstown clothing store (Youngstown Clothing Company) printed some Save the Scrappers tees for this season and even though it doesn't say it on their website, their Instagram says that it'll also come with a $10 ticket voucher for the season as well. I sure got one.

Keith Law released his top 100 prospects today. Nolan Jones was the only Indians farmhand to make the list (35th overall). Here's his write-up:

35. Nolan Jones, 3B, Cleveland

I got a bit of a Kris Bryant vibe from watching Jones in high school — the mirror image, I suppose, since Jones hits left-handed — and so far he’s at least had a few things in common with the former NL MVP. Jones led the minors in walks last year with 96, and had the highest walk rate of any player with at least 400 PA, although it came with a strikeout rate of 27.7 percent (above the median, but not even in the top 100 in the minors). That’s a decent picture of who Jones is as a hitter, working deep counts, not afraid to strike out, and not really cutting down on his swing at all with two strikes — probably because it might also cut into his power. There’s a gap between Jones’ raw power and game power so far, and he might be a 20-25 homer guy at his peak even though he shows more power than that in BP. He’s big for third base, but he’s more agile than you’d expect. I’ve seen him several times at the position, where his only weakness seemed to be a little bit of lost range to his left. Right now, Jones looks like he’ll hit in the .250ish range but with a slew of walks and that 20-25 homer power, which at third base will make him an above-average (if likely underrated) regular. If he gets to more power, he could still be a star.

Whole list can be found here ($) - https://theathletic.com/1627163/2020/02/24/keith-laws-top-100-prospects-for-2020/

Looks like he isn't as high on Valera as a lot of places are.

Jose Tena is the Nephew of Juan Uribe. I dont know a ton about him honestly but he was signed in 2018. @BimboColesHair would be the best person to give us more info, but most places dont have him ranked nearly that high.
