2020 NFL Regular Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Horrible decision, if haskins isnt the guy at least you suck and fall into a position where ou can get fields or Lawrence, now you'll win 1-2 games too many and fall out of a position to grab one. Im sure the WFT could use another stud on the DL though.

The NFL is obsessed with achieving mediocrity, most teams dont actually want to shoot for double digit wins, they want 7-9 wins a season and job security.
This pretty much sums up how to ruin a first round qb:

I don't think Washington helped him AT ALL. Maybe he isn't a stud qb, but he looked good enough to be draft 15 overall and you give up on him after 11 starts under 3 different coaches?

Hope he gets another chance somewhere else.

It sounds like Rivera was at risk of losing the team if he didn't make a change.

Then take accountability for not putting players in position to succeed. Don't finger point at a QB with less than a season of experience.

Normally I'd agree, but WFT is in a position where 7-9 could mean hosting a playoff game.

I think he'd fit well with Pitt - very similar to Rapistburger, IMO. He just needs good coaching.

This is bad process. You should be thinking long term in the NFL. Be bad for a year or two, find players that work in the system and grow from there.

Most organizations want to fast track into mediocrity and that's exactly what this team is doing. If they are sold on Haskins not being the guy, why play yourself out of contention of a potential franchise QB to win 7 games and have a first round exit only to pick in the teens and lose out on drafting a potential franchise changing level talent.

Even at his advanced age, Bert > Biff anyway.

Looks like just when the Typhoid Titans had made it out of the woods, they got more positives today, and all options are on the table for Roger:

There have been a few new scattered, but hopefully containable, positives around the league.

I would like to changed my stance from the defense preventing the Browns making the playoffs to having to forfeit games after another team exposes them.

The problem with this is that they are benching Haskins for Kyle Allen and a one legged Alex Smith. I could see if they still had a guy like Case Keenum. Then I could maybe buy that they want Haskins to sit and learn but what the hell is Haskins gonna learn watching Kyle Allen and Alex Smith should not even be on a football field if we're keeping it real.

Hopefully Haskins gets out of there. I'd like to see him in Pittsburg. I don't like The Steelers but that would be a great spot for him. Haskins and Burrow in the same division with Baker and Lamar would be very exciting. It would add more elements to our division games too.

Looks like the Bills could be getting a free win on Sunday.

It is always interesting to see which QBs work out and those that don't.

I don't think many of us saw Josh Allen as a future star, but he is really doing well this season. Not just punishing air either, but completing passes.

Darnold has terrible face, not bad.

I tried to get people to see it but I just ended up dying alone on the hill. Dude has special arm talent and a great mentality. He still has a lot of room to grow too, it's crazy to think how good he'll be if he keeps developing.

That said, he's faced a lot of cupcake defenses this year. He could easily have some rough games when the schedule gets harder.

Officially Tuesday night now, with BUF/KC moved to next Sunday night.

Although I still can't trust TEN to get it together at all for 5 whole days.

They have *still*, though, managed to keep Tanny and Henry uninfected, and despite everything else on their plate they have had extra time to watch Bills film from their laptops, so it's not guaranteed to be a free win.

At some point we are just going to have NFL games on every day of the week, which I proposed should have been the plan for this season all along.
