So, one regular roster spot open and both 2 way spots open (probably one being held for Tacko)
Kabengele a little redundant at the 4 or 5 with the need for another sf but not if they did it to give Tacko a reg roster spot smh. Better be for one of the other non guaranteed training camp roster players that never played in the preseason like Ballock or maybe they leave it open for waiver wire pick ups but there wont be too many good one's available at sf with better size/skill than current roster options.
Hopefully this means they are bringing in Sekou despite reports he is nearing a 2w with the lakers but he hasn't proven anything yet either.
I am leaning towards Kabengele clearing waivers and coming back to play for the Charge this season.

Glad Thomas is gone but if they opted for Tacko over Kabengele they made the wrong choice imo
The guy is not a good basketball player at all just a side show
The Charge is going to start playing in Cleveland this season. Maybe they think having an attraction like Tacko will bring in a few extras fans? In the long run I don't think it matters whether they keep Kabengele, Tacko or neither tbh.

Would Okoro benefit from playing a big role in the G-league? And waiting till an injury would open up playing time on the main roster.
sure but it is not happening. It is up to this coaching staff to get the ball into his hands in the NBA not the gleague. If they are trying to make him something he isnt they just just cut him loose and find a better fit. He always plays better on ball which is why this notion by some lately including Mr Cav that he should be a SG is laughable.

it doesn't but Kabengele is more skilled already so there is that. Whatever they better get upgrade to both or it makes littel sense.

Unless something changed with Tacko he was only signed to a camp deal. Did they convert his deal recently?
I read someplace Tacko was on a 2-way contract. Maybe Kyle Guy has been earmarked for the other one? He’s currently on a training camp invite deal.

is Ballock or Nembhard still on the roster? One of those two make sense for the other 2-way w/Tako (who I agree will likely be kept to fill seats at Cleveland Charge games)

Tacko will draw crowds to the GLeague team. Kabengele will not. I think that was the main difference between the two. Both suck at basketball.

I would sometimes play around at the kids six foot hoop to get a sense for whether I would be skilled enough to play in the NBA if I was eight feet tall. I don’t think I would be, I’m still not coordinated enough. It strikes me that Tacko is sort of the real life version of that

Yeah he isn't clumsy. Just normal. Slow reacting and not particularly good touch. He misses wide open bunnies a lot. Basically needs to dunk or pass IMO.

Kind of shows you how skilled Yao was. Same height, super strong, but he had a really nice touch. He'd score on everyone

Kabengele's only redeeming quality is that he gives the announcers a 30-second bit where they talk about how he's related to Dikembe. This is very useful as it distracts the audience from whatever horrible basketball is happening while he's on the court.

Tacko should be dropped like a dog meat burrito and anyone off the street could fill the role as someone whos only ability is non basketball related.
The fact people are more interested in someone who belongs at Ripley's museum than they are in basketball says all you need to know about the direction this civilization is headed LOL

What's wrong with a dog meat burrito?
