I want Reghi back!!
Bogey would be a great pickup. I was looking at the Cavs schedule and it really eases up. So much so that it wouldn’t surprise me if we’re atop the East by the end of February. We’re about to run off about 10 wins in a row as Memphis just did.
Bogey is only shooting 41% from the field this year. I like Bryn Forbes, who we just played last night and scored 15 points in 17 minutes off the bench. Dude is shooting 41.7% on 3's and 90% at the line. He's 28 and playing on a one-year $4.5 M contract so he fits under the cap and there's no committment next year when Sexton returns.Bogey would be a great pickup. The Nets aren’t playing all that great and just got blown out by OKC. LaVine just hurt his knee, which makes Chicago a very different team. The Bucks are the toughest of the three, but the Cavs are certainly capable of beating them, just as they are any team in the leagueWe might have a win streak later in the season but we definitely aren’t “about to” do that — three of our next five games are against the Nets, Bulls, and Bucks. So we have a bit more losing before we win.
TBH although I’m confident we make the playoffs I don’t think we reel off a huge win streak or compete for the top seed - we lack depth, are entirely reliant on Garland staying healthy, and our coach is not a very good game or lineup manager. That usually means you screw up somewhere along the way
Bogey has been banged up this year, but he’s an elite shooter. I’d much prefer the 6’6” Bogey over the 6’2” Bryn Forbes.Bogey is only shooting 41% from the field this year. San Antonio isn't making the playoffs and they have Walker and Vassell playing ahead of him. They shouldn't be asking much for Forbes.
Also, there's the small matter of Bogey being owed $18 million per year for the next 2.5 years.
Exactly right! While I am glad that the Cavs won a championship (it is the only time in my life that my favorite professional team has won a championship, and I'm 54!) with LeBron, Kyrie, and KLove, that year was not nearly as fun as this one. I detest the idea of stars getting together and going somewhere to win a championship. It is incredibly fun to draft and develop young players, to see them struggle, improve, and become stars.I honestly still can’t believe how this season has gone. And it’s not a fluke by any means. Somehow we are growing our own big 3. This is not lebron talking other stars to play together. This is a very young fun team that like each other.

Garland, Allen, and Mobley are still improving, and they are borderline all-stars now. I am 100% convinced that Sexton is good enough to be a key player on a championship team due to his work ethic and athleticism (I also think that watching this team while he rehabs will be good for him -- he will no longer have this false conception that he is the best player on the team, and he will accept his role as an important but not irreplaceable component). I also think that Okoro will keep improving offensively, even while his defense is what earns him minutes early in his career. With this young core, I don't think we will have any problem attracting solid veterans like Love and Rubio who fill out the rotation. Boston did this years ago with Bill Walton in the mid 80s and many teams have done it since.
We will also be able to draft guys late in the first round who contribute. Look at Joe Harris (still not sure why we let him go, and it is why I want us to be patient with Windler) and Christian Eyenga (okay, don't look at him). I think Dejounte Murray was drafted at the end of the first round, too. It will just be nice if we don't have to count on rookies to be instant contributors, and we let them grow into their roles.
Okay, so I rambled a bit from my initial point. In summary, this is fun and it is going to get better!
I'd love to have JaVale back. Give Allen and Mobley a break. Apparently JBB doesn't trust Ed Davis.

I agree. I think the missing pieces are already on the team. The Cavs need another player who can create their own shot and that's Sexton. Then we have a crafty vet PG like Rubio too.Exactly right!
