Gut wrenching loss but damn did they make a game out of it. Missed a lot of open looks from three tonight - literally one more of them would have been the difference, but it is what it is.
My heart is still racing. Hoping that they're able to rebound from this one and give Milwaukee a run for their money tomorrow night, too.
That SF is gonna have to come in the draft. Roll with this team until the season ends, with an exception of whatever gets you someone like James Ennis. This team's core has some learning to do and needs to figure out what to do when you're facing a team that hardly misses from 3 like this. And also, the screening situation needs to improve. It just so lacking compared to the competition.
JBB's fault but without him we never would be competing like this to begin with. We can deal with his failures down the road. For now he is getting this team to put it all out there no matter what. (Still...fuck that decision making on the last play tonight)
We have struggled at home this year...though our home schedule has been murderers row.
At some point the schedule is gonna ease up and we are gonna start absolutely rolling.
Yeah I can’t get mad at JBB no matter what his flaws as an offensive game planner. He’s been central to whatever alchemy is making this team the most fun Cavs team in years. Seems to be a fantastic culture creator.
can't be mad at really anyone on that one. Everyone gutted it out, everyone added what they could when they could. Hindsight says maybe have Cedi get in there late given how many winning plays he had in the 3rd/4th quarters.
NBA teams need to be on notice: if you are playing the Cavs, you better bring your best game, because these guys are going to get after it.
Love and Marrk 12 points combined. Even if you throw in Cedi it’s only 23.
This team plays it’s best when these guys are around 30 combined, esp Marrk and Love.
Still only lost by a point.
I was following the Jazz when Rubio played there - in Donovan's rookie season. They signed Rubio to please Gordon Hayward and convince him to stay - he still preferred to sign with the Celtics (and injured himself in a season ending way in the first few seconds - karma). Donovan went on to be their best offensive player in their rookei season. And that is just one example that comes to mind. Meaning: If you are watching this league long enough, you learn to stay away from generalizations.
