2021 Draft Lottery

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Draft whoever you want. Most of these guys aren't going to sit out a season to reenter the draft just because of being drafted by Cleveland. You take the best guy and make them love it here. There are so many former Cavs that live around the area (AV, Z, Nance etc).

From all indications Sexton and Okoro both love it here too. I wouldn't be too worried about Mobley or any other player's preferences right now. We got scared of with SGA which was a mistake since his ass is stuck in OKC now. Don't skip on Mobley for that reason.
This^^

It’s different when a guy has a preference to play someplace versus telling a specific team he doesn’t want to be there

Then why were you conflating the two? You’re simply making an inaccurate read based off an interview. All these guys are simply not giving much info about what workouts they did so you want him to give answers in an excited manner to a bunch of boring ass questions made by wannabe reporters?

If this is true and Detroit is still undecided, it can only mean that they have all three ranked almost equally.

Which means they would be open to trading down to #3 if the offer was attractive enough.

Right?
Open, yes. Doesn’t make it a wise move for Cavs.

A lot of athletes have serious girlfriends or wives, and they're not keen on their husband going out to those places constantly.

In any case, guys are in the road all the time, and then there is the offseason where they cN do that stuff if they want. So guys would have to be pretty hardcore partiers to have that form the basis of their decision of their team for the regular season, and if we miss out on guys for that reason.

Eh.

That's not the type of places I'm talking about. The reason why all these athletes hate the scene in Cleveland is because there isn't places they can go where fans don't annoy them. The places I'm talking about are real expensive for a table and they only let in people they know will behave. People that frequent these places can get in without getting a table but they expect them to buy a table frequently too. It's more like exclusive/expensive bar hopping if there are enough of them.

The places I've been to in Chicago would constantly have Bulls and Bears players.

Not sure I understand from Memphis’ POV. That’s a ton of money to take on to move 7 spots while downgrading big time at center. Wondering who was the target at #10 to take on all money. I’m hearing Giddey and Moody mentioned the most.

Memphis might as well do it. None of their young guys are due for an extension yet. JJJ's wouldn't kick in until next season. Giddey and Moody would both presumably be fits there too.

As for the Pels it's pretty comical that Griffin made that deal for Adams, extends him, and is now giving up assets to get rid of him. Giving up assets to get off Bledsoe also diminishes the return he got for Jrue. At least they still have a pick this year but Griff better do something positive this offseason with the money he just saved. That rookie contract is ticking on Zion and the media of course is trying to push him out of New Orleans.

NBA teams draft players, not the other way around. Whoever gets drafted by the Cavs is going to play here, like it or not.

The off-season is six months long and these guys have the money to live wherever they want half the year.

Now...reportedly the Cavs want to move up for Cade. Woj reported the Pistons still haven't made a final decision on their #1 pick. If they have Cade, Green, and Mobley all rated about equally, then it would make sense to trade down.

It sounds to me like there is a non-zero chance the Cavs could get that pick.

Its not worth it. Will cost assets and we aren't trading up for LeBron here. Do you trade 3+stuff for Joe Johnson when you could get modern KG, healthy Brandon Roy, or giving a shit Ben Simmons? I dont think so.

Agreed. I wouldn’t trade up for Cade. The cost isn’t worth it and we don’t even know if we will be any better then who we get at #3. Koby is looking to make a splash with Dan Gilbert though, which worries me.

I bet that #10 pick was the one Cleveland was after. They liked Valanciunas more than Nance.
