2021 Draft Lottery

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Semih has a case for the clear out with the left arm. Probably got away with it all season.

Omer Asik would never

The Turkish Hammer is up for grabs.

They really arent that similar styles of play though. They are both athletic, 6'6 and black, so now they have similar styles? KPJ is a better ball handler and passer. Green is more explosive and a natural scorer. Its almost like they might be complimentary pieces if they can stay in the league and out of trouble (no idea on Green, referring to KPJ)

Omer Asik would never what... Score?

To be fair, there's a lot of fringe NBA talent in that league. Shane Larkin, Kyle O'Quinn, Devin Booker, RJ Hunter... a bunch of guys who had NBA jobs recently. Pretty cool a 19 year old won the MVP in pretty dominant fashion.

Watched more Turkish league games than I'm letting on this year as a result of Nathan's work on him in the draft thread all year. I believe he has more potential to have an impact in the right situation offensively and I'd really like to see him stretch his shooting range out further as I don't believe his faceup game will be a threat even with better spacing at this level.

If he had the range, I could see the comparisons to 19 yr old UCLA Love. Though Love did play some defense. Without it, offensively is he Sean May from UNC?

I'm invested. Wouldn't touch him at #3 and have a few guys I'd take with more boom/bust if we had another lottery pick

I intended to write Trevor Booker but got the auto-correct from my phone.

I read the college Love comp and was all...

..then you drop a Sean May on me...

I wasn't a May fan. He was non-athletic and couldn't shoot. I know Sengun didn't have to develop his shooting range in Turkey, but I like his form. I believe he can be a stretch four in the NBA.

No interest at #3, but he should provide retribution for the shame Deni Avdija brought upon my Euro-scouting.

Leave it to the Wizards to draft Jan Vesely twice

I would imagine you were rooting for the Zags in that '17 championship game against us. Kennedy Meeks had Sean Mays on the bench as his personal development coach as he outplayed big Karnowski. Sorry about that (Go Heels).

I think Sengun's form is true as well.

One of the most perplexing things for me has been watching Sabonis development in Indy as he has abandoned his outside shooting altogether. Didn't see it as much at Gonzaga (similar to Sengun in BSL) because he didn't need it to dominate in the WAC, but knew it was there because of his form, his lineage, and his fundamentally sound approach to the game. While he was in OKC, to balance the floor, he became this floor spacing sharpshooter who could pass and operate from the high post to compliment Russ and Oladipo well.

I believe the OKC breakthrough version of Sabonis is a good model for Sengun to get his footing over here. I believe he will need a athletic and very good defensive 5 and 3 flanking him (Isaac/Okeke, Wendell Carter/Bamba in Orlando would be perfect) and then run the offense through him and he could prove Nathan right.

Devin Booker (born February 28, 1991) is an American professional basketball player for Fenerbahçe of the Turkish Basketball Super League and EuroLeague.

Both the Kellogs brand Devin Booker AND the Great Value brand Devin Booker lost in the finals this season. The real Devin Booker lost to MVP Giannis, the Great Value brand knockoff lost to MVP Shane Larkin in the BSL Finals.

Why have I never heard of this cat before? :chuckle:

(Quick Google)

He is the younger brother of Trevor and played at Clemson right after Trevor left for the NBA. Trevors senior year, they were ACC Champs. Devin's senior year with him as leading scoring, they were 13-18. Thats why.
