Every single coach who has anything to do with the defense besides Johnson can leave after this season. Coombs, Barnes, hell, the guy that brings them coffee at practice.
Defense put together a decent half considering how well Tulsa was moving early. Still having a full TD lead after such a weak offensive showing is pretty good.
So much to be put together this year. There's still enough talent for this to be a playoff team (national title seems incredibly unlikely) but clearly we aren't peaking this season.
The good news is that we are in the same boat as the vast majority of the sport. Bama still looks great but their big win against Miami was not that impressive, especially after MSU handed it to 'em. Oklahoma had hype but both their Tulane and Nebraska wins looked mediocre at best. Clemson has a loss where they didn't impress. Georgia is also looking good but they haven't proven themselves in big games. We may not be the best of the best but there's more parity across the board this year so far.
Stroud reminds me of Deshone Kizer when he played for the Browns. He has a big arm and throws look really nice in the air which might be why he was picked to be the starting QB but the decision making and accuracy just isn't there.
