He is the point guard Wilt. Wilt put up monster numbers but didn't start winning til he started not doing that. The difference is that I think Russ isn't an inherently selfish player and stat chaser the way Wilt was. He totally does chase stats, but no one ever did to the absurd degree of Wilt Chamberlain. Is there a stranger player to rank in the history of the league than Russell Westbrook?
He’s on the verge of averaging a triple-double for the 4th time. During those seasons, his team never won more than 50 games. The three times he did it in OKC they got smacked around in the 1st round. He’s doing it this year with a Washington team that probably doesn’t win 30 games.
He’s just such an odd player to assess in terms of how much better he’s really making the team overall while putting up these numbers. If you just put a league average PG on this Wizards team, is their record significantly worse?
Not really sure what I’m getting at here, but It’s just wild to see a guy put up 4 seasons averaging a triple double and have little team success as a result. His teams are a combined 166-133 in those seasons and 4-12 in the playoffs.
Wilt didn’t chase stats! He was just in an era that there was nobody that could really stop him. And I don’t think you can call anybody averaging a triple double selfish. Oscar Robertson wasn’t winning titles the year he averaged a triple double. He is the point guard Wilt. Wilt put up monster numbers but didn't start winning til he started not doing that. The year Oscar averaged a triple double and Wilt average 50-30 and over 48 minutes per game neither of them won MVP.Wilt didn’t chase stats! Durant is a *****. He and Lebron are the sole reason why I hate the NBA. Never liked Curry, but atleast he plays everyday. Durant is a Coward and a snake. Wish his knee and ankle would explode and never get to play again....not like he does anyway. The Nets are really good, but I think it's getting to the point where we need to question whether Kevin Durant will be available enough for them to win it all.

A game I won’t watch anymore. It’s unwatchable and teams like Cleveland only have a one in a million chance to be relevant.Geeze, man... It's just a game
It’s really not that big of a deal. A bunch of guys trying to make money and play basketball. You can watch or not, life goes on.A game I won’t watch anymore. It’s unwatchable and teams like Cleveland only have a one in a million chance to be relevant.
That’s what I love about Westbrook and Butler! They play hard, rarely take days/games off and don’t settle for three pointers! He and Butler are always attacking the paint!I will say the triple double is pretty meaningless these days with scores in the 120’s and up. However I do appreciate the effort Westbrook puts in every night. Guy rarely complains and just plays his ass off.
Additionally I’m more fascinated by the Jokic triple double than from any of the wing players achieving them these days. I enjoy a passing big man...
