2021 NBA PLAYOFFS MEGA THREAD

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I liked Portis when he was in Chicago. Now that he's stopped punching people, he fits a nice bench role for Milwaukee.

Crazy eyes dont play no games..
Suns youth and inexperience starting to show.
Bucks in 6.

I'm selfish so still hoping for a game 7. This series has been great

“Watching” this series has coincided with my entry into the Officially Old phase of my life: I can’t stay awake past the third quarter despite my desire to actually watch. Damn you, children! Anyway, sounds like it’s been a good one!

I just can't help but root for Gainnis.

Compare him to Booker, who bitches almost every single player.

Just refreshing to watch a dude who says nothing to the refs.

His post game interviews are good too, hes humble and so excited to be here.
Cant help but root for the guy.

I like this guy so much more than LeBron personality wise… It’s so weird cause it’s not like LeBron sucks as a person or anything…. Not sure I was feeling his BYOB Tequilla at courtside.. Kinda seems above reproach in his own mind..

As a Greek (1st gen born in US) who spent part of my formative years in that country, I'm obviously biased. But Antetokounmpo has an affable personality that's easy to get on board with. His backstory is inspiring. I always grin listening to his "greek" accent when he interviews knowing he spoke almost no english when arriving in the US as an 18 year old. I guess I'm on the bandwagon and hope the Bucks close this out at home.

A snippet of the Giannis backstory:

An OTL by Woj on how things culminated on draft night 2013 (with reminders of our infamous #1)

His first game against a familiar opponent:

ETA: corrected the Woj link

I remember Giannis a few years ago saying he would never be accepted by American fans because he was from Greece. He’s learning that in this country, generally, we back the best and also like people who are likable regardless of where they’re from. He’s a wonderful ambassador for Greece and starting to also realize just how good he is. Now that Middleton and Holiday are also getting after it in the Finals it looks like Giannis will be receiving the best individual award in the NBA - the Bill Russell Award.

Hard not to like Giannis.

I like that he doesn't act all buddy-buddy with the opponents.

He stayed with a small market team located in 'flyover'
country.

Attacks the basket, knowing he will be shooting lots
of free throws, not the strong part of his game.

Sure hate him shooting 3's though.

I'll always wonder what our team would've looked like if the Cavs took the Bucks reported offer of Middleton/Brogdon/1st for Kyrie. Always felt like KM was a gamer.

This has haunted me too. Such an obviously far better trade than the Celtics trade, a no brainer if it was available.

2017-2018 Opening night you look like this:

Love/Green
James/Korver/Osman
Thompson/Frye
Middleton/Wade/Smith/Shumpert
Brogdon/Rose/Calderon
