Well, this is not what we needed from TMac today....in the first game of a double header when we are going with a bullpen game tonight and have another double header on Thursday.

Instead, this is the worst case scenario.

What we need now is somebody to give us innings in this first game.

The only think I liked about game 1 was the pitching of Mejia and Hentges. Mejia retired five in a row, including a strikout of Hunter Dozier on three pitches. It looked to me like his pitches had tremendous movement - more than I remember from earlier in the season. Nobody got good wood on any of his pitchers.

Hentges struck out Merrifield, which is hard to do, then got the red-hot Lopez on a ground out and finished with getting Salvador Perez to dribble it back to the mound.

It's just one game but they both were impressive. I'd like to see as much of them as possible the rest of the year.

After about the fouth pick in the coming June first entry draft (and if it is held).. the next dozen or more picks are a lot alike w/r to current/projected value, imho.. IOW.. losing 14 doesn't do much.. it might matter if there was a lot more "must pick if he's there" type of guys....
