2021 Series #12 | Indians @ Mariners | May 13-16, 2021

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Naylor didn't swing at a strike in that at-bat.

Him and Reyes need to learn deep-breathing meditation exercises; they're hyperventilating in nearly each AB.

Franmil doesn't get off easy. It's just that sac bunt removing Jose from the action was something to lose our minds over.

But the Franimal folded.
Frank also is so damn streaky.

Clase is coming out for the 9th.
Apparently, Tito wants to grind his arm into dust by July.

Any momentum from Cubs’ series evaporates in Seattle.

Biebs been getting hit around the last few games - May whip 1.79 (3 starts) - he isn't the guy you want to falter

I feel like you have to send Luplow home there with Hedges up next
Definitely. You have to assume that Hedges is an out. If you are having Hedges bat, you have to send the runner.

wouldve been surprised to lose a 4 game series in which biebs, civale and plesac all get starts - and esp v a team that is marginally worse than ours when it comes to hitting

It happens @xmasbuck. Heck I just watched the Dodgers struggle through 4 or 5 losing series with great starting pitchers and some really good starts.

But for the Indians, they need certain things they count on to happen. And one of those is great starts by Biebs. If he falters, they are going to seem to be in much bigger disarray as a team then they do now. Starting pitching is that teams identity

We really need a hitter added to the line up fast. Trade or promotion, get it done.

We come home from the West Coast with an off day Thursday.

If there is gonna be significant roster move, it will be right before the Friday game with Minnesota.

Miller is obviously the one to watch, with his .625 BABIP...lol.

There is nobody else in Columbus that looks remotely like a fix for the Big club at the moment.

Bradley (31 % Ks), Zimmer (46 % Ks), Johnson (33% Ks), and Mercado (.483 OPS) have been worse than what we have.

As such a young team, we are gonna have to live with this a while. But we can complain about the younger players, even hope that there is some vunderkind who will magically appear to make this a significantly better offense, but the players who have to do it are the vets who are expected to, and right now the most significant upgrade would be Eddie going back to being Eddie.

The Eddie with the above average bat, the . 800 OPS, and the 25+ HRs.

Yeah, I mean there’s really no easy fix with this team. Outside of Miller like you mentioned, I’m not sure anyone in AAA can make much of a difference… But the one thing that I’ve advocated for what seems like forever now is… fire Van Burkleo.
