2021 Series #8 | Twins @ Indians | April 26-28

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Yes Amed had a nice game...
Not agreeing with him at SS over Giminez...

A positive from Weds's game: the return & success of Kyle Nelson. He had 1 appearance in 2020 & was shelled. Today he pitched well and went a full inning (no runs allowed).
I missed Nelson pitching so it's good to hear he did well.

Buxton is the best player I've seen so far this season.

But saying that he and Zimmer have been on the same career path is more than a stretch.

They started from the same spot, but diverged fairly quickly.

1st round CFs that ran fast, played elite defense, and had pop...if they could hit the ball.

Neither has been able to stay healthy, but when Buxton has, he has managed to put up 10.5 fWAR.

Not being able to stay healthy.. has been the downfall of many players including Bradley Zimmer...

That's why the description was "similar".. not the same..

Allen's last three appearances are the worst streak for a Tribe starter that I can remember.

Steve Hargan, Kluber, Cliff Lee, Bauers, and Cookie all had back to back clunkers...and even a month long stretch in which they were bad, but Allen's beats them all.

The good news is that they all became solid to elite starters. The bad news is that for some it took a lot of patience.

Patience is in short supply around here.
