Strictly talking position players, Nolan Jones, Tyler Freeman, Gabriel Arias (currently up), Lavastida all need to come up.

Rocchio, Valera, Noel are close on their heels.

Who knows if guys like Brennan, Benson, Bracho, Naylor ever get a shot.

The only guys I'm unwilling to trade are Jose and Gimenez.
What do we do with Straw? I'm in favor of taking all his ABs but maybe one away. One of these young OFs couldn't do any worse at this point, besides maybe misjudge a flyball, Kwan could always be the CF.

You bat him everyday as your cf.

Unless you have a trade lined up and think Kwan can play CF long term, you just let Straw fight through this. He's the best CF in your organization.

I just can't come around to this when there's far more options to try out.
I'm not a Brennan believer.

I also don't know shit about MLB prospect evaluation.

Maybe we can put Kwan in CF, Amed in a corner, and open up a spot for Arias or Freeman? Or just put Jose on the IL

I actually think our serious contention window opens in 2024, so I wouldn't rush anybody from the minors. My MLB untradeables are JRam, Gimenez, Naylor and Clase. Josh and Bo are going to be fixtures in our lineup during our contention years. Guys I wouldn't listen on in the farm system are Williams, Espino, Naylor, and Valera.

I was never a believer in Benson, but his obp is .400+ through 68 games. That's insane. Is it worth a tryout?? Management has tough decisions. There's 24 year old's that look ready for some big league coffee.

Are u aware that Lavastida is currently injured and likely still out for action for at least a few more weeks??
If he was available Sandy Leon would not have been brought back this week.

What about Brennan gives you pause? We’re you a Kwan believer? I’m pretty sure Brennan is a better defensive OFer than Kwan. I’m not arguing. I genuinely want to understand why you are not a Brennan believer.

I think where we are at right now is great.

So many positives and surprises and can keep up with most of the league.

Yankees, Astros, and a few other teams holding up a mirror so that our players see the distance that we still need to go and so that our FO continues to keep an eye on the near future where some elite prospects wait in the wings and shouldn’t be traded because of some quality guys already on the roster having a good year

We kept JRam and Clase, are competing, have had a few positive surprises that may now either stick around for the long haul or have amplified their trade value but the gap is still clear which is absolutely a good thing for the present moment

I don't think Brennan has the bat-to-ball skills that Kwan does. I see a guy with a significantly higher K%, at a more advanced age, at every step of minor league progression.

I think that exceptional bat-to-ball ability is the only reason Kwan is up here and a success story.

I agree that Brennan is likely a better defensive CF than Kwan would be.

I'd love for him to come up, take command of the position and prove me wrong.

Probably 90% of my knowledge/opinion is going to come from the people on this board who actually pay attention. @BimboColesHair @Derek and @AZ_ were a treasure trove of baseball knowledge. The rest I fill in by looking at Fangraphs and prognosticating based on that feeling I get way down in my plums.
