ReGuarding the G's attendance:

In addition to being a shrinking mid-market city, the G's have one other factor in the attendance results,
extreme bad luck with weather.
  • The G's have played 52 home games so far. That's far and away the fewest in baseball. All other MLB teams have played over 60 home games so far.
  • Of those 52 home games. many were doubleheaders. So we played far less than 52 home dates. (Somebody can figure this out.)
  • We have 23 home games left, but only 22 home dates.
  • So we will play less than 74 home dates, not 81.
  • Another problem with the G's attendance in this "playoff season" is that you don't know it's going to be a "miracle season" until it is. They didn't get to 1st place until mid August. Even if the G's become 2022 World Champs, they won't get an attendance bump until the 2023 season.
  • The G's do have a number of critical home games left, BUT - school has started, and it's tough to get big crowds if the kids have to be home.

No joke. I’ve tried going to three games this year. 2 have been rained out.
 
Tbh, I think they should. See if Ahmed is amenable within reason

Morris and Arias.

Can’t imagine Valera or Naylor.

Have been wondering if the Arias in left thing is to move Kwan to CF to bench Straw.

Morris I believe is more than likely the pitching choice...

I am thinking the other guy is either Lavastida, Clement or Arias. Either an extra C or an utility guy...

Sadly Straw isn't going to the bench in 22... They just aren't making that change. Now we may see more starts from a Benson in CF against RHs

Some rumblings that Rosario may be asked to switch to CF this winter.

Supposedly we will see less Straw, more Benson in the short term. Benson in CF tonight.

Amed has the athletic profile to be a good CF, and his bat certainly plays.

That's an interesting way of keeping a productive player around, while still allowing the crop of young talent to filter its way up to the majors.

I wish Will the Thrill would take command of the spot, turn into the megastar he has the ceiling to be, and we can all forget about it--but I don't think anyone is betting on that outcome right now.

Nice to see Benson in CF more. Hopefully he starts barreling up some balls. His slow starts at every level give me hope.
