2022 Fantasy Football

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
@Jack Brickman I’m in a dynasty league year 1. This format is so much more fun than redraft.

I’m likely going to pick 1st overall. I didn’t expect to be very competitive year 1, and some injuries and valuable trades have made that even more of a reality. How do you evaluate upcoming rookies? My gut tells me WR is the easiest position to go after in the rookie draft, which is kind of how I planned the initial draft.

Is the Bijan Robinson hype real?

WR tend to be easiest position to draft and acquire. And yes, Bijan appears to be the truth.

Nice. I’ve been intent on simply building value this year. I was able to trade Deebo for Marquise Brown and a 2024 first. Easy money.

This weekend I feel into being able to acquire Courtland Sutton for my 2023 2nd. Easy money again.

I’m going to need star level talent, but I have the assets to trade for one next year if I desire. No chance I’m trading out of #1 unless someone is dumb enough to give me a Jefferson or Chase type of player.

I also flipped Keenan Allen (who I got less than one quarter out of) for a 2025 first to a guy who has traded nearly 3 full years of picks already to have a mediocre team. I feel like the Boston Celtics in the Pierce Garnett trade with that l asset.

It has been a ton of fun to have more assets to play with and different lenses for people to play through. I didn’t expect to have so much fun from day 1. Most of our owners are really good and we’ve all been friends and played for years but we finallt started dynasty this year after talking about it for a long time.

Rofl this truly is it for me and FF.

came into tonight tied with Waller playing.

Leaves the game with zero catches.

Just incredibly awful luck year after year.

Cruising to 4-1 in my main redraft league barring Kelce scoring -17 points tomorrow night.

Also hoping to move to 2-3 in my main dynasty league where I've scored the most points but had the worst luck. I've got Kelce and Adams plus two IDP guys against my buddy's Mahomes, CEH, and one IDP guy and I currently have a 30ish point lead. As long as Kelce receives a big part of the target share, I think I should be safe.

Yeah, looks like I’m winning both of those. :chuckle:

I started Tee Higgins (0.00-ankle) in both of my redraft leagues.

I benched Taysom Hill (35.84) AND started Teddy Bridgewater (0.00-died after one pass attempt) in my dynasty league.

I went 3-0 this week.

On the same team, I started Tua last week. Then I picked up Bridgewater. In this league there’s a QB and OP slot so you can start two QBs if you want. This week I started Goff and Bridgewater which got me like 4.8 pts combined. In the past two weeks, I’ve got a total of I think 6 points from three QBs and won both games. Have Dak and Tua on IR so hopefully on comes back next week.

Is the Bijan Robinson hype real?

I honestly don't watch a lot of college football, so I rely on podcasts and Player Profiler for my rookie evaluations.

It's definitely looking like the Bijan hype is real. I assume your league is 1QB? If it's SF, I'd consider taking a QB first overall depending on how the class plays out. As good as Robinson is likely to be at the next level, we've seen what can happen with guys like Barkley. We're on year five now and he essentially gave you absolutely nothing in two of them and was merely good in one. So this may be his second elite year out of five if he can stay healthy.

That being said, if it's 1QB, Bijan is your guy at the 1.01 unless something changes drastically between now and the draft. From all accounts he is looking to be a Barkley-tier prospect.

Also, my general rule for dynasty rookie drafts is that you should target RBs early in the first and WRs later. Of course, it depends on the year and the prospect quality. For example, I would have taken Chase before any RB last year. It was a weak RB class and Chase was the best WR prospect since, who, Watkins?

We are 1QB and I have Herbert. I don’t plan on putting any assets into that position in the entire life for the league lol

4-1 on the back of Kelce in my main.

Looking good in that one. Other league I lost keenan allen, Javonte, and eli mitchell so that’s a trainwreck.

Had my first draft:

K murray
J jacobs
D singletary
S diggs
J jeudy
B cooks
T kelce
C edmonds
C claypool

Bench:
Mostert
Mckissic
Scott
Watkins
G wilson
J landry

I may have fucked by going too bargain bin on RB. But I picked 12th and made the decision to go receiver heavy and build around kelce. See if it pays off. 12 team ppr.
Revisited.

Bargain bin RB working decently… Got lucky with Mostert lately :chuckle:

There's a dude in my main dynasty league who has scored 150 less points than me through five weeks that is 5-0. The next highest team behind me in scoring has 100 less points and I'm fucking 2-3.

On the one hand, that bodes well for my team going forward, because this shit usually evens out. On the other, it's just infuriating to constantly lose games because you were the second highest scoring team on the week but played the highest.

Use Sleeper - add a game against the median. Problem solved!

Is Tee Higgins worth taking a shot on if he's active or would you play it safe?

My other options are Pickens or AJ Dillon.

I'm starting Devin Duvernay and Eno Benjamin over him.

When he's healthy, the only receivers I start ahead of him without question are Kupp, Jefferson, Diggs, Chase, Adams and AJB. I have him and Deebo about equal, with Deebo slightly ahead due to boom potential.

So, take that for what it's worth.... I'm leaning heavily on him just being a decoy again if he's even on the field.
